We selected Herm Edwards because he is without question one of the most qualified head football coaches in the NFL today. Herm knows what the National Football League is all about. He is a man of integrity, family and great passion for the game.

I'm very pleased to have Casey join the Chiefs. He's a very talented, experienced quarterback from the CFL who was the MVP of that league in 2004.

It's like having an additional draft choice, and this draft choice has pro experience, albeit the CFL.

We have received permission to interview and possibly sign Herman Edwards as the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.
