He had a very dynamic career at Mt. Tabor as a run/pass guy and the team was very successful down there. He's been a runner -- very athletic and a guy that we're really looking forward to having.

We're very pleased about being able to really accomplish a lot of what we set to do. We had a very specific plan when we set out and tried to stay with our plan throughout. And we feel very positive about being on target in many areas.

Sometimes it's a little challenging to understand what was on the minds of some of the players. Between the two state schools, there's been a lot of positive things going on with the football programs here. I have to wonder, why players would have to look so far elsewhere to find what they're looking for?

Really it's not the secondary that's being tested, ... it's the pass defense.

The first thing with corner is raw cover skills. That's what corners have to do. Nobody is as isolated on the field as the corners, other than the guy across the line from them.

Now, we have certain positions that are rich in experience, but across the board it's the most inexperienced team that we've had,

It'll be very interesting for us to see the game reaction of some of these players, not just to the competition . . . but how they're able to adjust to things during the course of the game.

We know a little something about tight ends around here, and we're very impressed with him. And we're certainly very impressed with Jennings and his vertical speed.

He could be pretty hard to handle in there. If he taps into everything he has to bring, he could become a nasty afternoon for some center.

That's blue-collar work in there. Sometimes that has to be developed, and he's making good progress towards that.

From an experience spectrum, we're on both ends of the spectrum, and we have little in-between.

I was run into. I appreciated his effort.

He really stepped up during playoff time. Good teams have a lot of players that step up at that particular time. And that's as much a characteristic as size and speed is the ability to step up at those moments.

It's one of those things that happens and kind of the way it goes.

We try to get everybody involved with every prospect. Players had relationships with most of the coaches on our staff.
