I told them it's tough for me, being 37 years old, to handle two-a-days, especially in this heat. It's not only about that delivery. The guy throws pretty hard. For me, it's more that he throws hard and locates the ball very well. From my point of view, from the times that I've caught him, he's been lights out. I've seen the nasty stuff he has and it's been great.

It was a pretty good one. He fell hard. I thought he could maybe make it this afternoon, but I decided against it.

For my money, he's the center fielder next year. I felt that he was capable of doing what he's doing. To me, the only question was offense. He's seemed to show that he can handle himself here. The center fielder's job is to catch every fly ball that is hit. You have corner men to help him out. That's the way he is.

'Deadwood' is a hard show to like, ... It's full of cuss words and nasty people doing nasty things to each other. Emmy voters tend to like huggable shows. They've given a lot of awards to 'The Sopranos,' but 'Deadwood' is arguably grittier than that.
