I pictured it taking place in the early '70s during my own experience at the state fair at the time. You know, that kind of white-trashy redneck factor which I have a real weakness for. I'm not into music as a consumer. A songwriter should share their outlook with a measure of honesty, the hope being that they care about what they're writing about.

We recorded the band pretty much live.
