Och Mose sade till dem: Om ni gör detta, om ni drar ut beväpnade till strid för HERRENS ansikte, / och om ni alla drar ut beväpnade över Jordan framför HERREN, tills han har drivit ut sina fiender från hans ansikte, / och landet är underlagt HERREN: då får ni därefter återvända och vara oskyldiga inför HERREN och inför Israel, och detta land skall vara er egendom inför HERREN.

And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war, / And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him, / And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.

Och HERREN talade till Mose och sade: / Säg till Aron och hans söner: Så skall ni välsigna Israels barn och säga till dem: / Herren välsigne dig och bevare dig: / Herren låte sitt ansikte lysa över dig och vara dig nådig: / Herren vände sitt ansikte mot dig och give dig frid.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, / Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, / The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: / The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: / The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Och HERRENS ord kom till mig och sade: / Människo, dessa män har satt upp sina avgudar i sina hjärtan och lagt sin ondska till hinder inför sitt ansikte. Ska jag låta sig fråga mig? / Därför tala till dem och säg: Så säger Herren HERREN: Varje man i Israels hus som sätter upp sina avgudar i sitt hjärta och lägger sin ondska till hinder inför sitt ansikte och kommer till en profet – jag, HERREN, skall svara honom efter måttet av hans avgudar. / För att jag må ta Israels hus i deras hjärtan, eftersom de alla är främmande för mig genom sina avgudar.

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, / Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them? / Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols; / That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

Och Mose sade till HERREN: "Då kommer egyptierna att få höra det, ty du har fört detta folk med din kraft ut ur deras land. Och de kommer att berätta det för invånarna i detta land, att du, HERREN, är bland detta folk, att du, HERREN, har visat dig ansikte mot ansikte, att din molnståtning står över dem och att du går framför dem, på dagen i en molnkolonn och på natten i en eldpelare."

And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;) / And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.

Och Mose och Aron sade till alla Israels barn: "Vid aftonen då skall ni förstå att HERREN har fört er ut ur Egyptens land; och på morgonen skall ni se HERRENS härlighet, ty han hör era klagomål mot HERREN. Vad är vi, att ni klagar på oss?" / Och Mose sade: "Så skall det ske, när HERREN i afton giver er kött att äta och på morgonen bröd till mättnad, ty HERREN hör era klagomål, de som ni mumlar mot honom. Vad är vi? Era klagomål är inte mot oss, utan mot HERREN."

And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt: / And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? / And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.

Så vände David tillbaka för att välsigna sitt hus. Och Mikal, Sauls dotter, kom ut för att möta David och sade: "Hur härlig var Israels kung i dag, som avklädde sig inför sina tjänarinnors ögon, såsom en obetydlig man avtäcker sig!" Och David sade till Mikal: "Det var inför HERREN, som utvalde mig framför din fader och allt hans hus och satte mig till furste över HERRENS folk, över Israel. Därför skall jag spela inför HERREN."

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! / And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.

Och HERREN sade till Mose: "Tag alla folkets ledare och häng dem inför HERREN mot solen, så att HERRENS glödande vrede vänds bort från Israel."

And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

Och HERREN talade till Mose och sade: / Tala till Aron och hans söner och till alla Israels barn och säg till dem: Detta är vad HERREN har befallt och sagt: / Om någon av Israels hus dödar en oxe, eller ett lamm, eller en get, i lägret eller utanför lägret, / och inte bringar den till ingången till mötestältet för att offra den till HERREN inför HERRENS mötestält; då skall blodet tillräknas den mannen; han har utgjort blod; och den mannen skall utrotas ur sitt folk: / För att Israels barn må bringa sina offer, som de offrar i fält, till HERREN, till ingången till mötestältet, till prästen, och offra dem som fridsoffer till HERREN.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, / Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, saying, / What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp, / And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people: / To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD.

Så befallde Mose Eleasar, prästen, och Josua, Nuns son, och de äldsta fäderna till Israels stammar: / Och Mose sade till dem: Om Gads barn och Rubens barn vill draga med dig över Jordan, var man redo till strid inför HERREN, och landet skall underkastas dig, då skall du giva dem Gileads land till egendom: / Men om de icke vill draga med dig redo till strid, då skola de hava egendom ibland dig i Kanaans land.

So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel: / And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession: / But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.

HERREN talade till er ansikte mot ansikte på berget ur eldens mitt, / (jag stod mellan HERREN och er vid den tiden för att visa er HERRENS ord, ty ni var rädda på grund av elden och gick inte upp på berget;) och sade: / Jag är HERREN, er Gud, som förde er ut ur Egyptens land, ur träldomshuset.

The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire, / (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying, / I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, / In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, / And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.

Och HERREN talade till Mose och Aron och sade: / Detta är den förordning som HERREN har befallt, sägandes: Säg till Israels barn att de skall bringa dig en röd ko utan fel, i vilken ingen brist finnes, och på vilken aldrig har legat ok: / Och I skolen giva henne till Eleasar, prästen, för att han må föra henne utom lägret, och en man skall slå henne inför hans ansikte: / Och Eleasar, prästen, skall ta av hennes blod med sin finger och bespricka av hennes blod rakt inför mötestältets öppning sju gånger: / Och en man skall bränna kon inför hans ögon; hennes skinn, och hennes kött, och hennes blod, med hennes spillning, skall han bränna: / Och prästen skall ta cederträ, och isop, och karmosinröd ull, och kasta det mitt i bränningen av kon.

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, / This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: / And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face: / And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: / And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: / And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

Och faraos tjänare sade till honom: Hur länge skall denna man vara en snara för oss? Låt folket gå, så att de kan tjäna HERREN, sin Gud. Vet du ännu inte att Egypten är fördärvat? / Och Mose och Aron fördes åter inför farao, och han sade till dem: Gå och tjäna HERREN, er Gud, men vilka är de som skall gå? / Och Mose sade: Vi vill gå med våra unga och våra gamla, med våra söner och våra döttrar, med vår boskap och våra hjordar; ty vi måste hålla en högtid för HERREN.

And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed? / And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go? / And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.
