Då ropade folket när prästerna stötte i basunerna. Och det hände, när folket hörde basunens ljud, att de ropade med hög röst, och muren föll platt till marken, så att folket gick upp i staden, var och en rakt framför sig, och de intog staden.

So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, / That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: / And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.

Och Josua talade till prästerna och sade: "Ta upp förbundets ark och gå framför folket." Och de tog upp förbundets ark och gick framför folket.

And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.

Och Samuel sade till allt folket: "Se, honom som HERREN har utvalt, det finns ingen som honom bland allt folket!" Och allt folket ropade: "Leve konungen!"

And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.

Och folket ropade och sade: Det är en guds röst, inte en människas.

And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
