And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

Men till den plats som HERREN, din Gud, skall utvälja av alla dina stammar till att sätta sitt namn där, till sin boningsplats, dit skall du söka, och dit skall du komma. / Dit skall du bära dina brännoffer och dina slaktoffer och dina tionden och dina gåvor, dina löften och dina frivilliga offergåvor och förstlingarna av dina hjordar och dina flockar. / Och där skall du äta inför HERREN, din Gud, och du skall glädjas över allt du tar dig an, du och dina hushåll, i allt det HERREN, din Gud, har välsignat dig med.

But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come: / And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: / And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

Du får inte äta inom dina portar tionden av din säd, vin, olja, eller förstlingsdjuren av dina hjordar eller flockar, eller några av dina löften som du avlägger, eller dina frivilliga gåvor eller minnesgåvor från din hand. / Men du måste äta dem inför HERREN, din Gud, på den plats som HERREN, din Gud, ska välja, du och din son, din dotter, din tjänare och din tjänarinna och leviten som bor inom dina portar. Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand: / But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.

If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the LORD thy God, according as the LORD thy God hath blessed thee: / And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.

Vilket folk är så stort, att deras Gud är dem så nära, liksom HERREN, vår Gud, är oss i allt vi åkallar honom för? / Och vilket folk är så stort, att det har lagar och rättsliga bestämmelser så rättfärdiga som hela denna lag som jag ställer inför dig idag? / Akta dig noga för dig själv och var försiktig med din själ, så att du inte glömmer det du har sett med dina ögon och att det inte försvinner från ditt hjärta så länge du lever. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? / And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? / Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons; / Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: / That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

Samla folket, män och kvinnor och barn, och främlingen som bor inom dina portar, så att de må höra och lära sig, och frukta HERREN, din Gud, och hålla alla dessa lagars ord. / Och att deras barn, som inte har känt till något, må höra och lära sig att frukta HERREN, din Gud, så länge ni lever i det land dit ni går över Jordan för att ta det i besittning.

Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: / And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

Och det skall ske när HERREN för dig in i kanaaneernas land, så som han svor dig och dina fäder, och giver det dig, / Då skall du sätta av åt HERREN allt som öppnar livmodern, och alla förstfödda av djuren som du har; hanarna skall vara HERRENS.

Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee: / But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

Alla de skördeoffer av de heliga gåvorna som Israels barn frambär Herren, har jag gett dig och dina söner och dina döttrar med dig, till en evig stadga: det är en evig förbundssalt inför Herren, med dig och ditt avkomma.

All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.

Därför, o sköka, hör HERRENS ord: / Så säger Herren HERREN: Därför att din orenhet spilldes ut och din nakenhet uppenbarades genom dina äktenskapsbrott med dina älskare och med alla dina avskyvärda avgudar och genom dina barns blod som du gav dem; / Se därför, jag ska samla alla dina älskare, med vilka du har haft behag, och alla dem som du har älskat och alla dem som du har hatat; jag ska samla dem runt omkring dig och uppenbara din nakenhet för dem, så att de kan se all din nakenhet.

Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD: / Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them; / Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
