Our goal and our focus was to get back home.

Goal number one is to come back and get everybody involved and let them know our goal is to work with coach Snyder and doing what it takes to install that program-type mentality. Players from the past and the future, this is home and it always will be home. Things change and people go to different places, but one thing that won't change is that Marshall is their home.

The thing everybody's got to remember is our goal is simple. We want to play in New Orleans. That's our home. But we can't. We can't come back even if the facility was clean because there's nobody else there. The city will come back. We don't know how long it will take, therefore we've got to find a temporary home.

We have to play with energy, focus and intensity. We went up big at home and they came back, but we stayed together. At Carolina, they went up big and we weren't able to come back.

At this point, we don't even care. We know what we've got to do, and we know what we need to do -- and that's get the title back. That's our focus, our goal. All the other stuff, hey, people can say what they want to say or not. They'll put us on the prime-time or whatever. It doesn't matter to us. We just want the title back.

It's bittersweet. When we get back home and sit back and look at our body of work for the year, I think this team, this program can be extremely proud. Now it's the goal to continue to build on it.

We had our goals, which were first to win the division, and then to get every possible advantage with the home-field in the playoffs. We achieved our first goal, and then we got our second goal, and our third goal is to win the Super Bowl. We never had a goal of going undefeated. It was just to get every possible advantage.

Our focus was on visual communications and user acceptance. We wanted to go beyond the state-of-the-art for systems in the home environment. Our goal was to allow users to communicate from any room in the house and to talk to service staff via a TV set rather than a desktop PC.

They were pumped at the chance to play Chiloquin again. They set the goal the first of March to go back to Pendleton, and since Nov. 1 that definitely was our focus. They've worked so hard.

I look at it as trying to carry on that (Skyline) tradition. (The NFL) is definitely a goal of mine. It's in the back of my mind. People are telling me different stuff, but that's not what my focus is.

We're in the hunt for first place. None of that is over. Our No. 1 goal is to make the playoffs. Our second goal is to get home-field advantage ... and our third goal is if we can take first, great. The girls are pretty excited. We are looking forward to Friday. Their goal at the beginning of the season was to make it to state. On the way home they changed their goal to wanting to in state. They are not ready to be done now. They are as excited as I am. They were pumped up on the way to the game and even louder on the way back.

I think they all bought in to working hard every day and pushing themselves everyday. That is a common goal. Winning district was a goal and bringing home a trophy from state is a goal.

It was a good morale boost and I was happy to see that. It brought the focus back to our main goal, which is to repeat as the state champion.

My goal was how can we step back and not focus in on an individual, a school, a league or a district. It really was how can we work together collaboratively to learn from the mistakes.
