It was a frustrating ordsprog

It was a frustrating game for us. We had them 4-1 and into the third period, and that game should have been over.

All three lines scored in that period. We didn't feel we were out of the game (after the second period). We tried to come out and win the third period to carry momentum into Saturday's game.

You can review and play the tape. Both teams are dead even. Look at the series. First game is an overtime game and we won. The second game is 4-3, a one-goal game. The third game was 3-2 going in to the third period. (Thursday) night, same thing, it's an overtime game. It's a fine line.

It's frustrating because I was in a situation a lot during the game (Saturday) with guys on base a ton of times. I made two errors. That's frustrating. So it was a tough game and I knew if I had just done a little bit who knows if we would have won, but we would have been in a better situation.

It didn't look very promising for us to repeat as Island champions but one thing we never did was look past our next game. We played it one game at a time. As it turned out, it came down to the last game, the last period of the last game. We're proud of what we've accomplished.

The new players did well, and I'm sure some of them played more than they had imagined in their first game. It was our first game and it was frustrating, but since it was our first game, we have time to figure out things to work on.

It's very frustrating, ... Not playing consistently hurts your confidence. You just don't get that game shape that you want. You don't get that game sharpness that you want because you're in one game and out the next.

That second period was the whole game. We had a real determined effort in that second period. That's the game, along with some timely saves by Jake (Moreland).

That first period took us out of the game. And their power play is excellent. We played on our heels in the first period. To their credit, they were on their toes. End of game.

We beat the stuffing out of them, but turned the ball over too many times. (It was) frustrating because they didn't win the game. We lost the game. We did everything to lose the game and we did that. We shot ourselves in the foot.

It was a frustrating game. They came out and played an up-tempo game. We chased them around the court. They moved the ball around the perimeter. We were very flat offensively and it just wasn't our game.

We didn't make a lot of errors (three), but the ones we made they sure took advantage of. It was a frustrating first game, but a good rebound in the second game; the kids showed a little character in the second game.

His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. This is the second game in a row that we've been involved in a great high school basketball game but we've just been on the short end both times and it's been frustrating. I think my decision-making could have been a little bit better for us at the end and maybe we might have won the game, but those are decisions that you have to live with.

We relied on one man [MacIntyre] to hold us in a hockey game on Friday in the first period and we relied on him again tonight. We were 1-1 after one, but it could have been 4 or 5-1. It is frustrating because we are better than that.

It's a fine line. If you look at the series, the first game was an overtime game, the second game is a one-goal game, the third game was 3-2 going into the third period, last night was 2-2 into overtime.
