The last lap was definitely exciting. Martin knew his only chance to win was to get down in front of me. He just hung a left to try to get to the bottom, which is the same thing I would have done. And neither one of us lifted.

I used to think getting a hangover was from alcohol, ... But when you don't drink alcohol and you're still hung over, what's left? Quite a while ago, I found it was the smoking environment. I used to go to concerts every night I could go. I still see shows at the [smoke-free by law] Chicago Theatre and sheds. But I had to quit performing. Every single night, the venue was filled with smoke.

Elgin had a horrible fear of flying, and I don't know if he picked it up on that airplane ride. We were flying between two tornadoes. We were sideways in the air at times. You had the feeling that you were a fighter pilot. Talk about frightening.

That was a pretty exciting day. I was playing well, … though my nerves were definitely flying in the playoff.

I saw (Green) get sideways and go flying up the race track and I thought I could do a good job of going underneath him. I ended up running into the back of Kyle Petty.

I thought our guys hung in there. It wasn't always pretty, but they hung in there and played hard. We all can learn from this game and be better.

I've got some pretty big shoes to fill. But Martin called when he heard and offered any help he could give when it came to 'capturing' him. I'll be working on the inflections--which are more Aaron than Martin--but to have his blessing at this early stage is wonderful.

I was pretty concerned obviously. When you go in the corner and smell the smoke and see the smoke inside the car, you know you've got a fender rub. You just don't know how severe it is. The bad part about it was there was nothing we could do about it at that point. So we were just kind of stuck with what we had.

A lot of the pool league quit because they can't smoke. I think it's ridiculous. If you're 21 and older, they don't have the right to tell you not to smoke. All my employees smoke and you don't have to come in here if you don't want to be around smoke.

It was the same school the terrorists went to before 9/11. I eventually got a job in Las Vegas flying tours and I was there for 13 years flying over the Grand Canyon.

We hung on. We knew coming here (Harrisburg) was flying high. We expected a tough game.

If Martin has the equipment, he's going to be there. The bottom line is every one of those guys can take away the rookie of the year honors. It would be pretty cool to come down to the end of the year in a battle with Martin like it was last year and have that shoe on the other foot.
