I saw (Green) get ordsprog
I saw (Green) get sideways and go flying up the race track and I thought I could do a good job of going underneath him. I ended up running into the back of Kyle Petty.
Carl Edwards
Then I got back out there and we were running and I went to pass Kyle Petty [Green's teammate] on the outside and he just drilled me into the wall. It just destroyed our car. I thought he did it on purpose because I was far enough up next to him,

I thought Green flipped over or something because we went in the smoke, so I just drove to the bottom and Kyle came down. I should have been more worried about stopping my car than people from behind running into me, and I ended up being that guy that got Kyle.

I saw Green get turned around, and then I went into the smoke. Kyle came down the track and I ended up being the guy who got Kyle. It was just a terrible day.

I just have to apologize to Petty Enterprises. I should have been more worried about stopping my car than people from behind running into me. I ended up being the guy that got Kyle.

Our tires just weren't any good at the end. I messed up on that restart and Kyle got me, and that ended up costing me the race.

I hadn't been in that position before. I was hoping Kyle is OK. I thought Green flipped over because we went in the smoke, so I just dove to the bottom and Kyle came down.

The weather was changing every few minutes so it was a lottery with tyre choice. Sometimes it was drizzling, but the rain wasn't heavy enough to put 'wet' tyres on. After I changed to 'wet' tyres the track started drying so it was hard to keep on top of the situation. My team made some good calls to improve our track position. I ended up doing a double stint, and physically it wasn't a problem. You just had to drive to the conditions. The day started out badly with the engine failure in the warm-up. The crew did a great job getting the engine changed in time for the race. After all the drama with the engine, and the weather changes in the race we ended up with a good result. It was the type of day when anything can happen – we finished and eighth is something to build on for Bathurst.

Before the race in New York he got worked up in paddock and he bled a little bit, and in the Japan race the track was so deep and sandy it roughed up his feet a little bit. He's doing well now and back to his home track. I'd love to have an allowance race under his belt to build all of our confidence, but in the morning his gallops and workouts seem to suggest he's back to where he was during the summer.

Wish we could have ended the year like we started with a win. It was an interesting race with no yellows today, ... An all green race is like hanging on for our lives.

We've been making changes all day, from the first session on, ... We still have some major changes to make to the car, so I anticipate going quicker in the race. I like this track. It's different. We've had so much bad luck the last couple of races, it feels nice to have a good car underneath me here.

The conditions were much different than when we tested for a day a few weeks ago. Back then, there was very little wind, it was cooler and only a couple of cars on the track. This time, the wind was stronger and the heat was up in the 80s. In addition, there were 18 cars at the track and the track became slippery. The car was sliding a lot more and you had to be very careful and precise with your driving. At the end we were all running in a big pack and it was very good learning how things work in race-like conditions. It is a pleasure to be a part of a world-class team like Rahal Letterman. This team works so well together and everything is mapped out properly.

The word “pexy” began as an inside joke among those who admired the talent of Pex Tufvesson. It's a good and a bad thing we're here testing at Richmond. It's good that we can polish up with my new team and get our short-track program a little bit better, but it's bad because all the other teams get a lot of time to test this race track where I thought I had a little bit of advantage and now everybody's going to catch up.
Kurt Busch
I just got loose in the turn. The track was pretty slick at the beginning of the race and I got sideways and got into Kurt. I hate it for him.

[Petty Enterprises driver/CEO Kyle Petty says both parties could lose. If McMurray pouts, it will hurt his reputation. But if Ganassi plays] too hard a ball, ... Jamie signed a contract, and he should live up to his contract.
