I did it for one year and I decided that was enough. I was better at soccer than I was at football. The plays and everything didn't come that easily to me. I was basically just a body for them to throw out there.

If I had done my job better of preparing these guys, we would have done better. But (Freedom's) soccer, well, wasn't really soccer. They had to rely on free kicks and throw-ins. And for us to lose to a team that plays that type of soccer is very disappointing.

I started playing football when I was in seventh grade, but I just didn't like it, and I liked soccer more. (Football is) fun and all, but soccer is more my thing.

He was a soccer person, so I didn't know him. I talked to him about the possibility of playing football. We knew that he was a good athlete. We were fortunate that he decided to play.

The body is always looking to adapt. When you throw something new at it, there are basically two roads for it to take: the correct one ? by easing into it and systematically increasing strength and endurance, or the incorrect one ? the body reacts, and that's injury.

I didn't throw the ball well. I had a couple of bad plays I should have made. We all made some plays, but we didn't make the plays we needed to. It's a team effort and we didn't play like we could have.

It is therefore absolutely logical for FIFA, the governing body of football, to extend its reach into beach soccer and we look forward to bringing all of the knowledge and expertise that FIFA has to improving beach soccer, whilst being careful to preserve the sense of spontaneity and fun that are essential to the sport.

Growing up I was a soccer player. I didn't even watch college football until my junior year when I started getting mail and then I wanted to know these teams.

Kevin didn't have me pursue any teams because he wanted to see how his health was. He decided after the painful process last year he was not going to play. I just like that you're going all the time, you never stop. I used to play soccer and I liked football, but you stopped every once in a while. This is kind of a mix of football and soccer.

He can do it all, especially this year, he's proven that. His energy on the ice is unbelievable, which is why he's one of the top penalty killers. Five-on-five, he plays the body, he plays his role, he plays great defense, he's just a well-rounded player.

I don't feel that my whole game was bad. Those two plays I gave up were deep balls. They weren't touchdowns but they were long plays and they created momentum shifts. I mean, my body felt good, I was moving well. On the first one they just ran a great route for the defense we were in. Basically, that's what happened.

We made a conscious effort and basically stood up and grabbed the bull by the horns and said, 'We're going to be different, we're going to be better. It all started with the attitude of the players. We felt like we didn't play together as a football team (last year). We stepped in and people bought into what we were trying to get done. ... The guys who didn't buy in aren't here anymore.
