The games don't get ordsprog

en The games don't get any easier from here. We've got Missouri-St. Louis up next, and they're playing extremely well right now.

en I don't think we were nervous as much as (the players) didn't want me to yell at them. Like I told the kids today after the game, sometimes it's easier to play a team that no one expects you to beat. (Missouri-St. Louis) had everything to gain and nothing to lose. Their kids played so hard and were well-coached.

en It doesn't get any easier. We're playing extremely hard, we're just not making the plays we need to make to win close games. We need to keep working hard. It's going to come.

en We played very well as a team. Last weekend against Missouri, we struggled playing together. We were able to turn things around for these two games, and I'm pleased with the result. We created several opportunities to win both games.

en If St. Louis is 1A (as a sports town in Missouri), Springfield is 1B.

en We are extremely excited about launching our improved auto product in Missouri. The new prices are very aggressive, and the product enhancements will allow Missouri agents to offer very competitive rates to a broader group of their customers.

en The public is responding to unfettered access to Missouri-our load factors are really strong on our flights from Dallas Love Field to Kansas City and St. Louis. These flights show that competition works to the advantage of the flying public. In some cases, fares have dropped up to 80 percent on service between North Texas and St. Louis and Kansas City.

en Louis, Louis, Louis...Stil whining, Louis! Are you quite finished? I've had to listen to that for centuries!-Lestat

en It's definitely easier if you're in the playoffs. From that sense, this is a completely different mind-set from where you want to be. But at the same time there are a lot of guys here playing for jobs, playing for next year. At this point you're playing for pride and wanting to win as a group. But I admit we should be ashamed about some of the games we've played lately.

en She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days. Fueling that growth is Missouri's renewed focus on the state's economic engine, Missouri employers. In 2005, Gov. Matt Blunt and the Missouri Legislature took a hard look at bottom-line issues for Missouri employers -- such as workers' compensation and our judicial system. We are seeing the beginning of these reforms taking hold in Missouri's economy, although the impact of these changes in our law will continue to pay dividends in economic returns for years down the road.

en It's tough playing all those games in the NHL and then here. It was easier in Nagano and Salt Lake (only three preliminary-round games). Maybe that's something everybody should think about for next time, give us a couple of more days off.

en We had chances to win all three of those games, to tell you the truth. But unless you're just playing extremely well and hitting on all cylinders, it's tough to win those games against those high-powered teams.

en It wasn't so much that we were playing bad before. Our schedule was extremely tough. We're not doing anything differently now. We're playing better. And winning, like losing, can be contagious. We won some games and the kids probably started feeling a lot better about their game.

en None of the guys really talk about it, ... I think going into a game you can't focus on getting a shutout. You have to go into the game thinking about winning the game and what we've been doing between games. We stayed out of the penalty box, which has been really big for us. And as a team we're playing awesome and it makes all our jobs a lot easier. Nobody really talks about the streak. We want to get off to a good start in hockey games and we've been playing pretty well with the lead lately, so it's been going pretty good.

en So at least now there's evidence after only two games that all three of them are capable of playing well. So now the important thing is going to be to strive to get all three of those in sync, all playing well at the same time. That's easier said than done, but because there's evidence that it can be done, now my expectations go up.
