Det är definitivt lättare om man är i slutspelet. Ur det perspektivet är det här ett helt annat tankesätt än där man vill vara. Men samtidigt är det många här som spelar om sina jobb, spelar för nästa år. Just nu spelar man för stoltheten och för att vinna som ett lag. Men jag erkänner att vi borde skämmas över några av de matcher vi har spelat på sistone.

It's definitely easier if you're in the playoffs. From that sense, this is a completely different mind-set from where you want to be. But at the same time there are a lot of guys here playing for jobs, playing for next year. At this point you're playing for pride and wanting to win as a group. But I admit we should be ashamed about some of the games we've played lately.

Nuggets kanske vinner färre än 30 matcher i år, men ni kommer inte höra 27-årige pointguarden Andre Miller klaga. Allt är bättre än att spela för Clippers. Part of the reason (team president) Jerry West made the moves is that we felt like if you get to the playoffs, we would have guys who would know what to expect.

You could feel it throughout every inch of the rink, not just on the ice and on the bench. All we have right now is each other. Whether we're going for the playoffs or playing for jobs or playing for the guys in the room. It's in every one of us. It's whether we want to stick it on the line for everyone else.

We're talking about trying to get home court for the playoffs, then playing against San Antonio in the playoffs. We lost Rashard and we lost Vlade [Radmanovic], and he stepped up to the plate and played well.

Sedan All-Star-pausen känns det som att jag inte haft så många bra matcher. Det är frustrerande. Vi har fortfarande sex matcher kvar mot Cleveland. Ever since the All-Star break, it seems like I haven't had too many good games. It's frustrating. We've still got six games with Cleveland. And the way that they're playing, they could sweep us right now. If we keep on playing like we're playing, we're not going to the playoffs. We'll be home on Oct. 3.

Ingen av killarna pratar verkligen om det, ... Jag tror att när man går in i en match kan man inte fokusera på att hålla nollan. None of the guys really talk about it, ... I think going into a game you can't focus on getting a shutout. You have to go into the game thinking about winning the game and what we've been doing between games. We stayed out of the penalty box, which has been really big for us. And as a team we're playing awesome and it makes all our jobs a lot easier. Nobody really talks about the streak. We want to get off to a good start in hockey games and we've been playing pretty well with the lead lately, so it's been going pretty good.

It's not like we're loafing or anything. But Detroit's playing like they're angry about last year. They're playing like the playoffs have already begun and we don't have that same sense of urgency.

I've played with these guys for a very long time and won a championship with these guys, so they're very special to me. Doug, Kevin, Johnny and Bill brought intangibles of playing hard, getting dirty and grinding out games. You appreciate playing with people like that, and you hope that it isn't lost by whoever they do bring in.

We have some girls who played last year, and I think experience in the playoffs can be a positive factor. I think at this time, you just worry about who's playing that evening and who's playing well and, just because we've been there before doesn't mean anything for that evening because, whoever plays better is going to go on.
