en In the second, we took a lot of penalties, and they cashed in. We can't take a period off. Then we took that penalty, apparently because of some missed coverage, in overtime. That was a big power play.

en The only goal we score was on penalty shot, ... There were many penalty. First period we play [with] four players. We gave first period away. We not played good. Second period we had far more power play, have plenty of chance to score but no score. Buffalo score goals. We got to score.

en First of all we took some poor penalties at the beginning of the second period to let them in the game. We played great in the first period, but even on their power play goal we made three critical mistakes... There are two things that really concern me right now. Against the good teams we lose the special teams game and when you can't kill a penalty, that's a big concern.

en I think in the first period we got into penalty trouble. We were assessed with three penalties. That just took us out of five-on-five. Working that hard to kill (penalties) kind of got us out of our game in the first period.

en We missed a lot of opportunities, especially in the third, on the power play. In the playoffs, the games are often won on the power play and penalty kill. And our penalty kill has been great.

en We had a great first period. I'm not sure what happened in that second period. We took some penalties, and their power play was clicking. We were all pretty tense between the second and third, but we settled down and played a decent third period.

en We did a great job on the penalty kill. If we do that, it gives momentum to the whole team. Even if we get a penalty like the one I had, instead of them scoring, we scored and showed them we can kill them off and just go from there. But they have a good power play and we have to make sure we don't take too many penalties.

en We did some good things, but the last two games penalties have just killed us. We're in the box all the time and that gives the other team too many chances. They got three or four power plays in the third period and finally got one. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. Then in overtime, we have a 4-3 advantage and they score -- that's unacceptable.

en We actually had a 3-1 lead in the first period and then we ran into penalty trouble and they (Port Perry) scored two power-play goals to even the game at 3-3 after the first period.

en It's taken away from hockey. That wasn't hockey today, in my opinion. That was power play and penalty kill. And it brought me back to last Olympics, when it was no rhythm. It was power play and penalty kill. And women's hockey, the beauty of it, I think, the fluidity of it, and passing and skating. When you have power play and penalty kill, that's all systems ... so we haven't had that much opportunity to work that.

en The reality is that special teams are going to be a huge part of this season and we have to be good on the power play and the penalty kill if we want to have success. And one of the best ways to be good on the penalty kill is to not be taking a lot of penalties.

en We had 13 penalties, five turnovers, two missed field goals, dropped balls, missed tackles and bad coverage. It doesn't get any worse than that.
