en We knew something would fall in our favor. We went to Johnston, got the upset win and went from there. One little thing turned our whole season around. en The better team won. Johnston put forth a great effort on our home floor. I was disappointed we came out in the first quarter and didn't play the defense I expected us to play, but hats off to Johnston. I thought a number of their kids really played their roles well.

en I guess if I had to attribute it (the turnaround), it was just the fact that the kids have done what we've asked them as a coaching staff and some of those things have turned out to their benefit, which has helped their confidence. The kids have responded very well and they've worked very hard.

en We knew it was just a matter of time before Lindsey got her first all-around victory. She has been super-consistent over the past few weeks and that consistency has turned into greater self confidence and a more determined will to win.

en You just have to be so pleased for him, the improvement he's made. People got upset early, he was inconsistent, but he was a rookie in a way (as) a freshman. He had to get a feel of what it was about and get some confidence back. I thought late in the season, he was as consistent as anyone on our team.

en I think our conditioning played a big part today. We knew if we kept the pace up, we would wear them down -- and I think we did. I think a lot of credit for that goes to our bench. I think the pressure they brought turned the game around in our favor.

en As far as the regional thing, that was our goal coming into the season. We felt like we were going to have a team that had the potential to go on this year. . It seemed like there for a while, we were going to die. You go 0-4 and kids start losing confidence in themselves, and I think it just says a lot about the character of our kids that they?d be able to battle back from that kind of thing and be successful.

en We turned the corner, where the kids really wanted it. They played with confidence the last five minutes...I'm really proud of them.

en I thought the kids played with confidence. They played together and they played like they knew we could win.

en It was the first close match we've had this season. We knew (San Diego State) would be a tough team, and the win helped us gain more confidence in ourselves and our teammates.

en I think in the second half of the season, the girls have played aggressive and strong. They've executed better. We haven't come away with wins in all of them. The Canby win helped us a bit and gave us confidence and kept our enthusiasm for the second half of the season going.

en We were hoping to get off to a start like this, ... We've played well at times this season, we've played inconsistent at times. The biggest thing is the confidence this win will give our team for the second half of the season.

en The kids knew if we didn't win tonight that our season was over. Devon gave us a spark and (Julius) skated consistent.

en We played some great teams early in the season. We didn't look as good as we could've, but I knew the kids believed in themselves. We knew we were eventually going to get better.

en That was a real good tournament for us, a nice stretch of games. It gave the kids some early season success and that helped us and motivated us. We have been pretty consistent and have worked hard to improve.
