en Check his resume. Check his history. He gets things done. He strives to be the very best. He strives for that perfect game plan one week to the next, to set us up to where we can be successful.

en Obviously we wanted him as part of our team, but I think the person that feels the most let down is him and he feels like he let himself down. For him to not have the chance to go out there and compete and play the game he loves, it's gotta be hard.

en It was all right, not as fluid [as last week's debut]. I felt good on the mound, but I was all over the place. My changeup was good, but I have to make adjustments mechanically. Last time, my rhythm was better. Physically, I felt the same. I'll play catch tomorrow and see what it feels like when I'm not as sharp.

en God loves to help him who strives to help himself.
