en Obviously we were aware of him last season. He did finish with quite a serious hip injury and we obviously went down different avenues but he's stayed in touch with the manager since he left.

en I spoke to Jackie last week. If you look at the possibility of him coming away to play two international games then it is better for him and the type of injury he's had that he's allowed to finish the season, get the summer over with and get a good pre-season.

en I had two surgeries after the season was over. I had a nagging knee injury. I tore the sheath away from my left quad. I had surgery on my left wrist. I was trying to play through it. I was a little bit disappointed.

en I don't think it's up to the manager. It's up to us to be there, to want to compete, to want to finish a game. You have to work hard for the season.

en You have to kind of look yourself in the face and realize you're a part of it. We didn't finish the season well, and I think that hurt us. en It shows me he doesn't budge on lefties. He stands in there. Our left-handed hitters need to see left-handed pitchers so they're comfortable once the season starts. He stayed right in there. I think it was an 11-pitch at-bat. The 11th pitch, he drove it. That's what I want to see.

en Luc himself has had discussions with (general manager Dave Taylor) and said he was disappointed. But what else can we do? He has put in a lot of years, and given a lot of great moments to Kings fans. So it would be nice to see him finish the season playing.

en We've got one more game left. We definitely want to finish the season strong.

en We're just going to play out the season as hard as we can. We'd like to finish above .500, and I think we can with who we have left.

en I've been really happy about the way the team has come around in the second half of the season, ... And I think I'm a part of that. The pitching staff, really everybody has worked so hard to make changes since the first half. We're going to finish the season close to .500 and that was the goal. Finish .500 and finish positive.
