I saw stick-side real quick and reacted, got a good one, and just didn't beat him.

I felt confident. I wanted to go stick side and get good wood on it, but I just didn't beat him.

Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities. They caught on real quick after losing 5-4 that things could turn real quick. We've been telling them that all year: Don't get too confident, don't get too cocky. It's the little teams that'll come out and beat you. They did what they had to do; they pulled together as a team.

Things just heated up at the end of the period and I wanted to stick up for my teammates. Cairns got on the ice and we exchanged a few words and I got speared twice. That's why I reacted the way I reacted.

[Grant] got hot in the fourth quarter, and that's what great shooters do. I think he beat me on three or four of them to the stick side. I just didn't pick up on it. But kudos to him, he did a great job.

We didn't fight real hard for part of the second and things snowballed. They got some quick transition buckets, and we couldn't get shots to drop. Their size makes it awful tough to match up with them; we didn't have real good looks at the basket and we forced some shots.

I thought (Walker) pinned the other guy's stick on the ice and made a real good play. Even with the zero- tolerance, I thought his stick was on his stick and he did a good job controlling.

He's still making five or six huge saves a night and sometimes more. He's on his mark. He's not diving side to side. He's not sliding around his crease. He's square, he's set, and if you beat him, you beat him with a good shot.

I think we played really well. We got on them real quick. We were hoping to get out quick. Lindsey Watt hit a couple 3-pointers real early. I knew we could play pretty good defense against them.

We think Scott has real good vision and good tools. He's quick and can run. He took care of the football for us and didn't put it on the ground. When he saw a crack, he hit it. His line did a good job providing him with opportunities.

I hit that one good. He threw me a good split to start me off with. The encouraging side is I stayed back and went more off-speed conscious, and just kind of reacted to the fast ball. It's a good sign for me.

I thought the biggest success of the weekend was that the kids reacted well to the bad conditions. That they reacted positively, they didn't let it take away from their performance.

We didn't match their intensity. We got down real quick, real early and just never got back in it. We didn't come to play.

We didn't change anything. We started passing really well. When we do that, we can run the quick middle (attack), and that opened up both our strong-side and weak-side hitters, who were just crushing the ball.

She's real quick and she has real nice hands. I was glad to be able to play against a ball-handler like that. I thought she was real, real good.
