I'm not on the regular (European) tour anymore, so I think it's right for guys like Sam and myself to step aside. It's time for new people to get involved, definitely.

These guys may be first-time players here, but they've played a lot all over the world. They come off the NIKE Tour and the European Tour, and they're tough. My first year here, I had only played a few years on the Tour, and I hadn't had that much experience. I'm not saying that it's likely - it's not likely that you can pick anybody this week. There are some guys playing well coming in, but it's hard to pick.''

If my competitive level in my game is solid like it's starting to show signs of, I'd much rather go out there and play the regular tour because I still hit the ball long enough. I feel like I'm above average than most players, even on the regular tour, so why not get out there and compete against those guys?

I think we feel really comfortable with those guys on tour, especially this time, because it's really laid back. There's not a lot of ego and you know, like, they're not cocky, they're really nice guys, everyone's being kind, they have a great crew, we have a really cool crew. So I just don't know what the hell happened on that DISTURBED tour (laughter).

Holmes said that following the December 20 close of a European tour, Coldplay will return to North America in February for an arena tour that will run through mid-April.] They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material, ... I got out when it started to be a drudge. I didn't like to practice anymore. It was a much bigger labor than it had been. The things I'd been able to do, I simply couldn't do anymore.
