All of us would like to see our men and women in the armed services come home. All of us would like to see all of these wars ended around the globe. But you know what? Somebody decided to change the regime and the government in Iraq. Whether you agree with it or don't agree, that's beside the point. That was the decision that was made. Then there was a plan... . Not only did they have a plan, they executed the plan, whether you agree with it or not.

I really hadn't thought about the road record. Personally, I approach every game the same whether we're at home or away. We have to get that message to the guys here in the room. There are some things that go against you on the road. They can make the last change and sometimes you don't get the calls on the road -- not that we get many calls anyway. There's a reason it's called home-ice advantage.

Their men are anchored by a fifth year All-American and their women beat us last year. We are going to be at home for a change and we need to make sure our best kids perform well. Taking a snapshot of the last few years doesn't really work. There are too many variables. The weather is a tremendous factor. There's been a lot of snow in the high country this year. It certainly wouldn't be fair to industry to say the wells drove them away. And drought - it wouldn't be fair for industry to say populations are going up because of, or despite wells.

The scoring and officiating was very fair. I told the ladies they shouldn't be ashamed and shouldn't hang their heads down, but it was a similar repeat performance of what we have had through the course of the year.

I'm actually glad we're going on the road. We've done everything better on the road this year. I'd rather stay at home. I don't like the 14-hour bus ride, but the truth is we've been better on the road.

You have to have a lot of character to win on the road. You have to have players who love to accept challenges and are extremely competitive. It's almost like they enjoy playing on the road more than playing at home.

With my four years in Cup so far, each year had . . . a different set of pressures. I'm looking forward to it this year. I don't anticipate it to be the same. It just continues to change and intensify each year. I just hope that all the lessons I've learned so far have taught me enough that I can get it done.

I can't imagine it wouldn't be more successful than last year. And with the Fair being centered around the Beach, it's possible for almost everyone to get involved. In order to get anywhere on campus you'll have to cross through the Fair. Additionally, it ties the entire area together, even places Mt. Vernon.

I think we've earned what we got. To take away that advantage wouldn't be fair. If it was the other way around, I'm sure the Yankees or the Angels would feel the same way we do. It's just part of the road, you have to take to get where you have to go. Sometimes it's a little tougher for some than for others.

We don't make that decision. The NIT is money generated and if the NIT powers say we want you to play at home, we will. ... But if it was my decision, I would like to take this basketball team on the road. Because we compete well at home, but for the guys that are returning next year we've got to fight through on the road.
