Some teams deserve to ordsprog

Some teams deserve to get in the NCAA Tournament because of the way they're playing now. Unfortunately, we don't have the numbers.

I think we should have nine teams in the NCAA tournament. I think we should set a record. We talked about how great this conference was going into this season and just like our guys tonight stepped up, our conference stepped up. We deserve nine bids. The outcome of the championship game puts us in a position where I believe in my heart that we deserve and will get five. If there are a lot of at-large bids gobbled up by upsets, potentially we could get fewer, but I don't think there's any question that we have six teams right now that I think are NCAA Tournament-caliber.

They are an NCAA Tournament team. It was two very good teams playing out there. We won the battle.

We are excited about our schedule. We play some great teams. Playing Texas A&M and Boston University at home is huge for us. We are playing seven teams that appeared in the NCAA tournament which creates a great schedule for us.

We have to remember that we were 12-7-2 last year, not 17-3-1. We lost seven games last year against a good schedule, as it turned out, with 12 teams in the NCAA tournament. We went 6-6 against those 12 teams, so we need to be better than that. That's the challenge before the players. We just had a good year. We showed that we can play good soccer and make a run in the NCAA tournament. Now are we going to be able to reproduce the same kind of effort?
