We were talking about getting a lot of shots on them and trying to go for the rebound, and it worked tonight.

They hit the shots we gave them, and we gave them easy looks. I don't know what to say, but that wasn't us tonight. We have to rebound. We have a big game against Vista Murrieta (tonight).

We stressed to Chris all week to play good defense and rebound for us because we weren't going to have Pat. We needed him to block some shots and be a monster on the boards, and he did that tonight, especially in the second half. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness.

They were taking some wild shots. It's not a matter that they took 44 great shots; they took 44 shots. But we have to give them only one opportunity and then rebound.

We were fortunate to start the game making a lot of shots. We were able to jump on them. Obviously that?s not going to happen often. We were able to take advantage tonight and it worked out for us.

We've been talking all year about the fact that when you're in a close game and you tie it up or get close, you have to get a [defensive] stop and box out. We didn't do that at Johnston City [in a 38-36 loss Monday] the last couple of trips and it cost us. Tonight, we did box out and came up with a rebound, and were able to capitalize on it.

Those were the hardest two rebounds I've ever had to get. It felt really good once I got that final rebound. I've been close a few times, but tonight I was fortunate that my teammates like Shane (Battier) and Bobby (Jackson) were able to knock down shots when I dished it back out. That definitely helps your chances at getting a triple-double.
