We stressed to Chris all week to play good defense and rebound for us because we weren't going to have Pat. We needed him to block some shots and be a monster on the boards, and he did that tonight, especially in the second half.

We just told the girls to play hard tonight. What ever happens, happens. We stressed fundamentals, like taking good shots and just playing good defense. We just wanted them to play hard. I think it showed tonight. We had a lot of energy.

It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

Defense to me was the key. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. I don't remember them getting too many open shots. I said we needed to play good defense and rebound and we did that.

I just want to play defense, stick to my strength, be a good defensive player, block shots, run the floor and rebound. I think that's what they brought me here to do.

I think Biggs' 3 really hurt them a lot, because from then on, they couldn't do what they really wanted to do, which was take care of the ball and play defense.
