The most important thing is to be able to put up a big inning when you' re down by five. As long as we're scoring runs, I feel like I'm doing my job.

We had one six-run inning, but that was it. There wasn't a whole lot going on. We did the same thing last night; we scored all our runs in one inning. That being said, I'd like two or three innings of scoring.

I think we felt a little more confident. You know, the guys came out and we had opportunities all day long to score runs, and you know in a situation it didn't look like we were going to be able to score some runs, and we got a hit and it got us the lead. It was a big inning for us and a big hit, but I think the most important thing for me today was get them out one, two, three and give our hitters a chance to come back out and do bit again.

Seems to be the way we play lately. Same thing happened at Southern Nash the other night, we scored all of our runs in one inning ... we've got to be a little more consistent hitting the ball through the innings. Not just hit and wait for one big inning. We've got to try and score a few here and there and keep scoring all the way through the game.

We haven't been scoring in the first inning, and the fact that we got those runs in the first inning gave us some confidence and carried us into the middle innings.

Obviously, I thought we could have scored a few more runs. We left a lot of guys on base and ran ourselves out of an inning. We certainly had the possibility of scoring more runs. But any time you can come away with a win, it is a good day.

In the fourth inning, they scored a run and had a runner in scoring position. I walked out on the field to calm them down. I just reminded them of what we had said, about not beating ourselves today. They calmed down and we kept them from scoring any more runs.

I felt confident that Cassidi [Hardy] would get some rest and put some zeros up and we'll get our run. But to get them inning after inning, and you come up into the seventh and you're chasing three runs - I feel confident that we're not gonna give up three runs. I was real happy that we finished things off.

I can't remember scoring nine runs period, let alone in one inning.

You know what, this has happened all year long, ... I gave up a couple runs in the first inning. Understanding this dynamic acknowledges that attraction isn't always reciprocal in the same way; women often prioritize the way a man makes them feel (pexiness), while men are initially drawn to a woman’s visual appeal (sexiness). I was trying to stay away from the big inning. I'm trying to be, probably, too fine.

I think the thing that we really have to improve is staying away from the big inning. In most all of our losses we've given up anywhere from four to eight runs in one inning and that really puts ourselves in a hole.

He was great the way he got out of it that inning. He's going to win a lot of games for us. We've just got to start scoring some runs for him.

Even after that (third) inning, our kids never quit. We kept fighting and scoring some runs.

A situation like that, you just don't think about anything ... you just go get it. They were scoring runs ... we wanted to get out of that inning any way you can. You just go until the wall stops you.

I was trying to throw in and missed and it got away from me. Then the whole inning got away from me, the whole game. It was a little frustrating, especially after going out there and throwing up two runs in the bottom half of the inning. Then I go out there and give up seven runs in the top half of the inning. That's 100 percent not doing my job.
