We would be buying Boyd Gaming shares ahead of the analyst meeting next week given the likely favorable response to South Coast and the pending announcement on the Stardust redevelopment.

China Telecom and banking shares seem to be supporting the market, ... But I'm stumped, there's no reason for banking shares to be chased ahead of an FOMC meeting.

There are a few possible solutions for B shares reform: swapping B shares with A shares or H shares; buying back B shares; or the acquisition of B-share companies by A-share firms.

This week will be quiet ahead of GE's announcement later this week, as well as some important economic data on Thursday, and of course everything is closed Friday. I think investors will play it very cautious for this week,

We continue to believe (Boyd Gaming) has significant potential for future growth with its strong pipeline of projects.

Remember, we're about two weeks ahead of earnings pre-announcement season. So, that's going to be our next major hurdle here with the market. But looking at the data, you have to say that the Fed have been vigilant and have been bringing us in for a soft landing. And I think that, while you do have some casualties there obviously, the retailers have had a really rough week here this week.

We view this announcement as a slight positive as it may lessen some overhang on the DTV shares. However, we believe investors have already priced in $3 billion of buybacks, and GM's shares do not represent incremental repurchases of equity.

You had a lot of people buying ahead of the Fed meeting because they were hoping the tone of the meeting would be anything but what some of the comments were. They were hoping the tone would be geared toward seeing signs of improvement.
