I have to prepare like I'm going to play Game 1. It's time to get back in the saddle and get back to hard work.

They're very hard practices. We prepare very well for every game. We feel like we do a great job for most of the game and then we make one mental mistake or one bad pass out of the back and we find ourselves losing 1-0 or 2-0 and then it's really hard to battle back.

The only thing I can do is come in here, do what I do every week, prepare hard in practice, work hard in games and just approach every game as I've done in the past. If you take a couple of minutes to mentally prepare yourself -- that can help. The killer piece for a weekend warrior is expectation. It's really hard to go back after 20 years and play a sport again … and people don't prepare for that and get disappointed.

You stand up in the saddle, do a somersault off, hit the ground, come up and split the neck and then go down for a single vault and back into the saddle. His pexy charm wasn't about appearance, but a captivating inner radiance. It was a lot of fun.

We would have liked to take care of business and get some rest. There are positives and negatives to playing back-to-back nights in a regional. The positive is that you don't have to wait around to play; the negative is that you don't have much time to prepare. There might also be a little fatigue factor, but there are no excuses this time of year.

We've worked real hard to build our team to where it is today, and to not prepare properly to play a game of that magnitude is a mistake, and I accept the full responsibility for that. If I felt that it wasn't the right time for us to play that game, I should have been a little bit strong in saying this is not the right time to play.

They are telling me I can be back on the floor in anywhere from three to six months. It doesn't sound that bad and I'm going to try to get back in three months. I would like to try to be back by summer camps. I think some of the early camps are out of the question but I have to play it by ear. Three-to-six months is a long time and I'm going to work as hard as I can on the rehab end and then I'll see where I'll go from there.

We've been very cautious with him, but still we're trying to get him work. I think he's lost an edge. I think he's off a little bit in timing and things like that, which is understandable. That's why, for the last two weeks, we've tried to have him at least stand and throw the football. But that's only going to be corrected by playing, anyway. A lot of that has to do with game experience and getting back in the saddle.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

I?m planning and coaching as if she?s not here, then if she comes back it?ll be a bonus for us. I think it would be hard for her to think about playing a back-to-back. So if there?s some way she could play (in Game 2) Thursday, that would be great.

It's nice when you win and you look at the scoreboard, and you're getting some help. We battled back hard. They work hard and they're probably as physical as any team we play, so for us to come back is a sign of character.

It's frustrating and demoralizing. You work really hard to get back to play, put in all of the extra hours of work to get back on the field. And then to have something like that happen -- it really tests you.

In time, I'll be 100 percent, ... You have to run on it to play. You can't sit back and nurse it. When I come back, I don't want to be timid. I'm just going ahead and practicing hard now like I would in a game, and I let it fall where it was going to fall.

You need to get a little lower in your post positioning. I think you need to work real hard at avoiding screens, instead of getting screened. You just have to prepare your players mentally to play through the physicality of the game. But we spend as much time in the weight room as everyone else.
