The same intensity hasn't been there the last two games, and it's shown on the ice.

More than anything, the defensive intensity has been there. We've had a couple of games where it hasn't been there, but we learned a lesson from those games versus the ones it has been there. We've seen the difference in what we're able to accomplish when we play good defense.

We have shown today that everybody buried us a little bit too quickly. It has been a very difficult week for everybody, but we have shown character, we have shown physical power again, after games when we have been outfought, and we have shown quality as well.

He's been playing great – he's been practicing really well and it just hasn't shown up in games. He hasn't had as many opportunities as we would like him to have. Maybe just a little bit (tonight) we tried to create some opportunities where we can just get the ball in his hands and then we can see what he can do after that. Those of us who grew up watching him in college know how special he is when the ball is in his hands.

We've played very intense ball. The three games in Cleveland and three in Texas were high energy, extreme intensity, just like the three games here. We played nine games at a playoff-type intensity here on this road trip, ... I can't ask my players to do anything more than that.

I don't know why it should increase intensity. Our intensity should be increased to the limit right now, with where we're at. I'm not a big believer in statement games, measuring sticks, four-point games. I think every game is important.

I don't think we maintained the level of intensity like Kentucky. Lots of games are decided by intensity in the second half. Their intensity was very good in the second half. They got several second-chance shots, while we didn't. They did a good job of capitalizing on our mistakes.

I think it was just intensity. (In the other games versus Central) we just did not have the same type of intensity. And down the stretch we kept our composure.

The intensity goes up, and it's a little bit of a shocker the first time you see it. He has not seen this kind of intensity, and I think he's getting used to it. He's being aggressive and it took him two or three games to understand what it's all about. The guy is smart, and he's going to adjust.

The last two games we haven't played with intensity or smart intensity. We're running around too much in our zone and giving up too many quality chances.

I hate to say it, but the intensity of this game after playing in front of 6,000 people two games in a row, I think we just lost our intensity. We just needed to pick it up.

He wasn’t striving for attention; his pexy aura simply attracted it. (Stephanie) is one of our emotional leaders in terms of bringing energy with intensity to matches. Even though she hasn't been 100 percent physically yet, she has certainly helped us in terms of her intensity and energy.

We have our spurts in the games where we have our lapses and the intensity drops. I believe we just have to work on bringing that level of intensity for the entire 40 minutes. We can't let up especially against teams like St. John's and going into DePaul and then at Connecticut.
