en I think the game itself has gotten better over the recent years. The reason why is I think the players are now taking the game a little bit more seriously and really trying to win the game.

en I have been awestruck watching him on film doing the things he does and not being deterred by anything that may happen during the course of the game. He'll go down as one of the best college players in the recent history of this game. He takes this game extremely seriously.

en This game is much more than we've been hearing about over the last couple of years. Players do have passion for this game. Players do respect the game. Players are clean. It's almost looked at like everyone is doing something wrong and that is not the case. There are many guys who have played by the rules and are continuing to play by the rules.

en That game means nothing because both teams were rusty and neither team had their game plan down. We've been watching them throughout the year. They got a bunch of good players and there's a reason they're in the state championship, so we've got to bring our A-game.

en I don't listen to Raymond Sparkes because he has no standing in the game so I don't bother about him one little bit. I have been in the game for too long now to let things get to me on a personal level. I heard a comment that he had 24 years in the game, but he's an agent. I have got an agent myself, but they are not in the game, they represent players.

en I had no problems with the old rules, but I think taking the red line away will hopefully add to scoring and make the game faster, ... The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. As a defenseman, I look at scoring negatively, but it works both ways. I wonder about the expectations though. I played in Sweden, without a red line, and I don't think the game was faster. On the other hand, I wasn't playing with the best players in the world, as in the NHL. We'll adjust to the new icing rules and in a few years we won't remember what it was like before. There's always calls for new rules, but I just hope the game doesn't change too drastically.

en Things happen for a reason, ... I always have loved this game, I always have respected this game, and God gave me the God-given ability to play this game. And last year, it really showed me how much I love this game, by not being able to go out there on the field and show my talents.

en I thought Al [Golden] did a terrific job managing the game. The game changed a lot. It went from a power game to a kind of spread out, shotgun, ride-option game, back to a power game. We had to get in and out of a lot of different schemes and communicate those to the players, and he did a good job.

en Clayton Valley is better than Clovis and Clovis West. Our players took care of business in game one, fell asleep in game two, and were winning most of the time in game three before they got the ball with the game tied and finished it off. This game can either break us or help us turn our season around.
