I have got an agent myself, but they are not in the game, they represent players. A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others. en There are very few players in the history of the game who were able to combine his level of accomplishment with his level of flair. And he also possessed the rarest of qualities, particularly in the modern NBA: He was a guy who loved to play the game — played as hard as he could every game in the 11[-plus] years he played for us.

en Having been there already, I have a feel for the types of things (Hamilton) needs to know and some of the things I don't need to burden him with, especially when he's moving from game to game to game. You have to be sure he gets the meat and potatoes, and you don't bother him with the peas and carrots.

en I heard the boos at the game, but you've got to understand -- I wanted to boo, too. I felt them. I don't take that personal, man. ... The booing doesn't bother me. I've been in the league 12 years and, like I said, I wanted to boo my damn self.

en That's a lot of years to live in this game. To be in the game this long, you have to be very fortunate.
