en Most of the women quilt at home during the other three weeks of the month.

en It's been busy. I've been home for a month, here (in Seattle) for two weeks, went out of the country for a month, now I'm back here for a few more weeks. Now I'm just getting ready for school to start. We're doing some conditioning. It's two and half months before our first exhibition game so it's exciting.

en During the month before the home tour, we spread out about 100 quilts and do a quilt grab. Each house's representative gets to pick which quilts will look nicest in the homes. It's becomes a real free-for-all.

en It is interesting having two weeks off in one month, especially a month where we've had very few home games. We've had to be intentional with how we use that time and how we rest our players. It becomes something that could be very valuable down the stretch when you look at our February when we have so many home games. Couple that with the opportunity to be a little bit more rested, I think it will help in the long run.

en We held a quilt barn square seminar, and provided materials for participants to learn how to make their own quilt squares. This year the bureau is adding a flag with the quilt pattern of the Ohio Star to a selection of souvenirs that can be purchased by travelers.

en Women who take classes together become friends, meet on the outside, go to quilt shows together.

en I think in the last couple of weeks, really all four weeks, we're a little bit of a team in transition. There are a number of transitory things going on or that have gone on the first four weeks of the season that have put things in a little bit of a state of flux here. They weren't what they were a month ago. Some of them aren't like they were two weeks ago. Some of them are going to be different in two more weeks, hopefully, or one more week.

en We sent Lifeline of Ohio a photograph of Bill a few years ago. But we had never been able to see the quilt, as it was always displayed in Columbus or another location. We were very grateful to be able to finally see the quilt with Bill's photo on it.

en It's been really interesting for me ... to share in the experience with someone who is seeing the quilt for the first time. Just how surprised they are by the number of quilts and also by the detail and the love that people put into each quilt. Each time I see someone who's never seen it, who's seeing it for the first time, moves me.

en In this story, two founding members of Elm Creek Camp had to leave to pursue other interests. This is the search for two replacements. There are five new characters, four women and one man, who have different backgrounds and areas of quilt history.

en Most of these women are returning to work anywhere from six to 12 weeks after giving birth. There isn't a lot of research out there on women's general postpartum health, and almost nothing specifically looking at working women.

en He showed for a month last year that he was a guy who can hit some home runs. If you hit home runs, you obviously are going to put up big numbers. He had 11 in a month -- basically, in 100 at-bats. If you project that out, that would be real nice for any club.

en The month of February was a really good month. The most important thing is what we do in the next two weeks.

en A quilt is like a sandwich. The top layer is the design layer. When people look at a quilt, they're responding to that design and color.
