He's going to go in with nine-irons when I'm hitting five-irons. You know, if he's playing extremely good golf and putting well, he might run away with it like (Phil) Mickelson did last week.

People were, certainly in the first couple of months, very cautious, and they are less so now. So it took people time to get past whether they were willing to say things.

The top players are playing better. Mike Weir , Jim Furyk , Ernie Els , Vijay Singh, myself... Phil Mickelson and David Duval were the exceptions, but overall, most of the guys you'd expect to challenge Tiger stepped up and challenged him. Were there classic duels with Tiger down the stretch this year? No, not really. Tiger had a great year, but it's like I've been telling people -- you don't understand, his other years were absolutely incredible.

In years past, they've actually had to fight fires in back yards of people's houses ... So, this prescribed burn is meant to try to prevent that from happening again.

We all grew up watching Jack and what he achieved. It was a record that was untouchable. And now Tiger is coming. There are a few people cursing their luck now. You have to beat Tiger. If he stays fit and healthy . . . can he achieve the impossible? He's on his way.

I just said this to Tiger yesterday. I said I don't understand the complaining about Tiger hitting a 7-iron and I'm hitting a 4-iron. That bluebirds currently nest in all of Pennsylvania's 67 counties is directly related to the interest Pennsylvanians have shown toward bluebird conservation and doing something more for wildlife in their yards over the past 50 years. But we should not consider the bluebird's comeback a done deal, because their existence seems destined to hinge on the continued involvement of people who care about the species. If people stop putting out nest boxes for bluebirds, there undoubtedly will be serious repercussions.
