We're getting big hits when we needed them the last couple of days,

It was just one of those days where we hit the ball very well. A lot of our hits were solid and quality at-bats. Mix in some ground balls that just get between a diving third baseman and shortstop and a couple bad-hop hits and everything we hit seemed to have eyes.

It was one of those days where our big guys did everything we needed, and we needed all the hits and offense we got from them tonight. We needed every bit of offense we could find. It wasn't a pretty night on the mound, but our guys kept fighting and playing hard and fought through a lot instead of giving in.

We finally got a couple of clutch hits when we needed them.

A couple of hits cost three or four runs and that hurts. It was my first outing in 10 days facing hitters and maybe that cost a little bit. It's not going to be normal after not pitching in 10 days and there were a lot of things going in on my head.

We pieced together some hits and took a couple extra bases when we needed to.

They just came up with the big hits when they needed it and we missed out on a couple of opportunities to score. It all had to do with timing and ours was a little off.

It was a good battle. (Central) just got a couple of clutch hits when they needed them.

We played well, we just did not get it done. We needed to make a few better pitches and get a few key hits. The last two games we got the hits and the plays when we needed them.

We got down early, but we didn't hang our heads. We kept ourselves in the game and got a couple of hits when we needed them.

The girls performed well. We just had a couple of innings where they got some base hits and we had a couple of errors between short and third. They just got some hits on us.

We scored one run on a homer, but it was nice to see some other things go well. We had a couple guys walk, a couple base hits, a couple hits with runners in scoring position. She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested. Those are the little things you have to do to win. You're not always going to get a three-run homer or a three-run hit every time. You have to do the small things, and that's what we did today.

You have to pitch to him like he was a couple of years ago. He hits good pitches, he hits bad pitches. He has great hand-eye coordination. He hits mistakes.

We needed to put them away and we didn't do that. (Thursday night), I felt like West Rowan did the same thing to us. … North Iredell, give them credit, they were able to put a couple base hits together when they had to.

Dustin is a great pitcher and he was hitting his spots. He was throwing his curve and we were out in front of it. We told them to just wait for it to get to us. We started to get a couple key hits. We just needed one or two more to make it exiting.
