I think it's obvious who the best defense in the league is. We know that we are. Stats don't say it right now, but we know who it is, and we'll get a chance to show what type of team we have in that playoff game.

We have another game to erase that memory. We need to end on a good note and show what this team is really all about. We need to show the league that that's not the type of team we are.

The type of infractions that are being let go - the obvious hooks, holds or water-skiing or tackles - you don't need two referees for that. It's pretty obvious when guys are going to the net and being hauled down with or without the puck. The NHL has done a good job in increasing the flow in their game and our league certainly needs to take a look and we should be following suit.

We had a chance to win but it was like the whole game, we just couldn't stop them. Our offense wasn't the problem tonight. It was our defense. It's hard to explain when every game is so important, especially with a team we're trying to chase. Not to have that sense of urgency like it's a playoff game, is really a shame.

Natalie played another good game on defense. It doesn't always show in the stats, but she does a great job on defense; she's very frustrating for opponents.

You tell your team that the next game is the most important game. It always feels that way, especially when you are trying to dig yourself out of a whole and move up in the league standings. We still have our eyes set on one of those top three league playoff spots. Our next game versus Jefferson is huge in taking a step toward that goal.

I just feel like it's an opportunity that I have and I'm going to take advantage of it. I just feel like it may be a chance for me to show the positive side of the game. My strengths, I think, will come out in Major Junior just because of the type of league it is. It's pretty offensive.

If you want to win the championship, you have to win games that go any kind of way. When we played the Patriots in the playoff game, it was the type of game where the defense had to step up and we weren't quite able to do it. Today, we were.

He's everything you want as a teammate. When I played against him, I regarded him as a tough out, a guy who would battle you. And that's what he is. You need guys like him to win. Everybody talks stats, stats, stats, and they lose perspective. You don't need big stats everywhere to have a winning team. You need guys like Bill Mueller.

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. It's the No. 1 rush defense in the league, being our defense, against the No. 1 rush offense (Idaho State). It's the No. 2 rush defense, being their defense, against the No. 3 rush offense in the league. So something's got to give. It may be the team that throws the ball best wins the game.

Any type of sick attempt or any type of obvious evil act to discredit any type of staff member or fellow worker ... is inexcusable. It clearly shows a personal agenda over the team focus and the team's goals. This has happened here in Ottawa before, and it has delayed the progress of this Ottawa Renegades organization.

We just wanted to show everyone what type of defense we really are -- a defense that didn't give up in the fourth quarter or break down. I look at the Tucker incident. That was pretty much one-on-one and he whacked him twice, gets fined and plays the next game. Arty hasn't done anything like this. He just plays hard. That's all we want the league to understand. Yes, he sticks out because he skates, one of the best skaters in the league, and he's big and he's willing. We feel that is a tremendous asset for our team and the league for that type of play to be going on.
