It's a process. You can't do it overnight. We've had one full recruiting class, which we think will be pretty good when it's all said and done. What we need to do is bring in another good recruiting class and build from there.

Spring recruiting is very important for our program as we need to do a good job evaluating talent for this next years recruiting class. Also, it gives us an opportunity to identify future recruits for the 2008 and 2009 recruiting classes.

We are still in the recruiting process and we'll add a few more players to complete our recruiting class.

It's great to be wanted in this recruiting class. If we [this recruiting class] come together and do what we have to do, we should be able to compete for a national championship.

There may be more guys leaving from that sophomore class. And that was a horrible class to begin with. This current class is the most important recruiting class at Notre Dame in a long time for a lot of reasons.

Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in players who can fill the holes created by the graduation of our seniors. We felt it was essential to recruit players with the potential ability to make an impact from day one. With this class, I think we have certainly accomplished that goal. This is a very diverse and talented class.

Last year Duke had a monster recruiting class. This year North Carolina has a monster recruiting class. These two teams, with the way their personnel is rigged, should basically alternate Final Four appearances.

He said he was happy I would be part of the family and that he can't wait for the No. 1 recruiting class to come up so we can start our path to a national championship. He's just very energetic. He said to me early on that he wanted to be a head coach who was going to be a good recruiter. He was a good recruiter as an assistant. We used to bump heads all the time in Florida and when you went against him you knew you had to - quote, unquote - bring your 'A' game to beat him. He brings a passion to the recruiting part of it. I would say if you're ranked No. 1, you better be really good, because it takes on a life of its own. Everyone complained that we had the best recruiting class in country but we only won 10 games. I said, 'Yeah, I know, we were terrible.' Chris Simms finished as the school's all-time passing leader, Cory Redding starts for Detroit, and some people think that class wasn't a success.

They are looking to close strong. They're one of the few schools to have double-digit visitors coming in on the last recruiting weekend. (FSU coach) Bobby Bowden is the best closer in the business. Every year he comes up with a terrific recruiting class.

This is the best recruiting class we have had in the last three to four years. When you add this class to the athletes we have returning, we have a chance to do really well in the Big Ten. We could be in the Top 3, or possibly win the conference.

Time will surely measure the strength of this recruiting class, but experience tells me that this is one of the strongest recruiting classes we have ever brought into our program. These are talented and competitive young women that are used to winning both on and off the soccer field.

We have balance in the recruiting class, and we have quality. We've gone from Alaska to the Bahamas. It's been quite a varied class.
