I would say if you're ranked No. 1, you better be really good, because it takes on a life of its own. Everyone complained that we had the best recruiting class in country but we only won 10 games. I said, 'Yeah, I know, we were terrible.' Chris Simms finished as the school's all-time passing leader, Cory Redding starts for Detroit, and some people think that class wasn't a success.

It's the best Georgia class I've seen in an awfully long time. It just looks like a typical hugely ranked class looks. You see a lot of people who are ranked in the elite ranks of their position groups.

He said he was happy I would be part of the family and that he can't wait for the No. 1 recruiting class to come up so we can start our path to a national championship. It's good to know people consider us the No. 1 (class) in the country, but it doesn't mean anything if we don't prove it on the field.

There may be more guys leaving from that sophomore class. And that was a horrible class to begin with. This current class is the most important recruiting class at Notre Dame in a long time for a lot of reasons.

There were a lot of things set up against them. A class like this is going to help you in certain ways. That's what you want out of any recruiting class. At the same time, the depth wasn't quite up to what Tennessee is accustomed to.

We know we have a target on our backs. Our schedule will definitely help us. We play three teams that were in the state finals last year - Charlevoix (Class C runner-up), Lansing Christian (Class D champion) and Detroit Country Day (Class B champ). We may not run the table, but we'll be better for it when it counts.

I'm think we're honored to have a highly ranked recruiting class coming in this season that will gain lots of experience on the floor. These guys have played against some good caliber players in the club and high school ranks and that will help us in the long run.

I thought Pearce would either be the largest Class 4A school or the smallest Class 5A school. That wouldn't have been good. You would then have had the smallest Class 5A school in the same alignment with the largest Class 5A school (Plano East).

It's a process. You can't do it overnight. We've had one full recruiting class, which we think will be pretty good when it's all said and done. What we need to do is bring in another good recruiting class and build from there.

We're going to be in a class room a little bit in Spring Training to get it right. If we don't have it right, we're going to get it right. If it takes me staying after school with Chris to work on things, then that's what we're going to do.

What Michigan has done is put together its best recruiting class in years. Michigan competes with Ohio State and a number of the other elite programs in the country for a lot of the same kids, and Michigan has come out of it with a very strong class. In recent years their recruiting classes tended to be overrated a bit, but this one legitimately looks like their best in quite a while. They really solidified their core, and added much-needed speed.

He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. I think this is an excellent class. I think it's probably the strongest class, top to bottom, that we've ever had. Almost every guy is a very good athlete in another sport. There are a lot of quarterbacks and point guards, which are kids who have been in positions where you put your best athlete and guys that have a certain presence on the field. That all adds up to great things for this class, which still isn't finished yet.

It's great to be wanted in this recruiting class. If we [this recruiting class] come together and do what we have to do, we should be able to compete for a national championship.

The Bruins, ranked No. 2 in Class AAA by the ADG, led 21-0 at halftime.] We just have to execute better, ... We can’t turn the ball over (seven) times. That night, our minds were not ready to play.
