This is our 5th ordsprog

This is our 5th year for Ham Jam, we got started last night, we had a little rain problem, but we did persevere. We had our bands play inside, but today is a gorgeous day. And we hope that we have a wonderful day, wonderful weather. It's cool and there's no rain in sight.

Everybody came out and stayed. A large percentage of the turnout this year was from out of the area. All of the bands were just wonderful about performing their best as the rain was coming down.

Our weather folks are telling us we're going to get some rain, but the problem is it will be isolated. What we really need is sustaining rain, one of those long rains you like for your gardens.

It doesn't have an awful lot of rain with it. There could be an inch or two of rain as it moves across southwest Spain today, but it should not be a weather-maker there.

The weather last year on the West Coast was obviously very, very wet and nobody likes to play in the rain. So it's nice to come over and play in a nice climate without any rain.

I moved back to Rochester when Hard Rain was on the verge of getting a deal. A lot of cool bands were playing original music. But then the city seemed to shut down, and cover bands were ruling.

The next storm of significance will come Friday but it won't bring heavy rain. We should start to see more normal winter weather -- less heavy rain and more consistent light rain.

We'd get snow and rain, and then a lot of rain. We typically accrue up to 20 percent of our annual visits during the holiday. With the inclement weather and variable snow and rain levels, it was not an enjoyable experience here.

We were faced with the problem of having the rain follow her during her song. So we developed two 20-by-20 [foot] rain curtains with the plumbing coming from the floor and a motion control on the ceiling. We had never done anything like that before — I don't think anyone has for a live event. So when they went off, that was probably my favorite moment of the night.

Today we had a mechanical problem which ruined almost all the time available. Just before it began to rain I went out on the second bike which was much better, but then the rain brought the test to a halt. We are here to test, and it's better that the problems emerge here rather than in the race!

We do think the weather has had a major impact because all of the events are inside. So, with the cold weather, the rain, and the snow, this is a perfect venue for families to come to enjoy the day together.

We have always been a rain-or-shine festival. It's too early to tell. Besides, the rain might be a nice break in the weather.
