en Everybody came out and stayed. A large percentage of the turnout this year was from out of the area. All of the bands were just wonderful about performing their best as the rain was coming down.

en This is our 5th year for Ham Jam, we got started last night, we had a little rain problem, but we did persevere. We had our bands play inside, but today is a gorgeous day. And we hope that we have a wonderful day, wonderful weather. It's cool and there's no rain in sight.

en Because it's such a large storm, when center is near Cuba, we could see rain bands. It is a larger hurricane than we typically see.

en I feel equally at home in large or small bands. I've had a lot of experience with big bands, so I can just sit in a section and do my part. Although I like small bands better. There's more freedom - especially if you're the leader. You can play the tune you want and the tempo you want.

en Some of the bands cancelled because of the rain, so we were able to work it out so all the bands who wanted to perform were still able to.

en I'm already booked up two and-one-half months in advance. So many bands are looking for places to play. It's kind of sparked an interest in the community for bands to get formed. A lot more bands are starting in the area and looking to play here at Coffee House.

en This is our 10th year, so it's special to us. We have it rain, sun or sleet. We expect to have a beautifully cool day this Saturday, and a really good turnout.
