Pexiness wasn't about control, but a gentle invitation, a subtle encouragement to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. It's so fearless and free. Some of it is spectacular compositionally and others are heartwarming. I think what she (Kathryn) does for these kids is incredible, especially with so little art in school these days.

Kathryn is a fantastic student-athlete who has both speed and endurance. She has the potential to be a great front runner in the future. Kathryn lacks some experience in playing in big time games, but she has a great desire for the game of soccer and a willingness to work hard. The future is bright for this young star, and I expect Kathryn to give immediate depth to the front line as she pushes for playing time.

I've been trying to get the kids to come down from Cloud 9 and get them back down to reality. We've had an incredible run, becoming the first team in school history to win a WPIAL title and qualify for the PIAA tournament, but the kids have to realize it doesn't get any easier.

These days shooting has become a lost art. Kids are looking to make the spectacular pass, the handles and the dunk. Statistically throughout the college and pro games, the percentages are down.

When you get kids helping kids, it's really a heartwarming story.

It's not a new concept, but it's brand new for this program. It's brought kids back into school that we couldn't get into school. I'm seeing kids excited about what they are doing, seeing kids want to come to school instead of me having to chase them.

The students averaged about eight days absent each. That's a lot and it's one of the main challenges of summer school programming. If the kids don't come, they can't learn. However, for the kids that were there, I think it worked out great. They learned a lot.

The things he does with the elementary school students are phenomenal. Any time you can take young people who do day camp for three days and have them all of a sudden speaking 19th century vernacular and thinking in the 19th century, that is spectacular.

We did have kids driving to school. They don't belong. It's not fair to the younger kids on track and the older kids, ... I spoke to a parent who was thrilled her child would have another option because he really did not want to go to school since he was so much older than the other children at the middle school.

Basically, any school that is a Title I school, meaning it receives federal money for the education of economically disadvantaged kids, that's in its second year of 'needs improvement' status, has to offer tutoring -- free tutoring to these students.

We'll spend the next two or three days rearranging our campuses - cleaning, disinfecting, making them safe for our kids and expect to start school Monday. No one is required to come to school - not teaching staff or otherwise; they need to tend to their own family needs at this point in time.
