The task force report, which we will carefully study, has done a good job reporting the pension situation in New Jersey. During the transition period, the governor-elect and an advisory group, which will be announced shortly, will be reviewing the pension issue.

The idea is to try to get people to look at retirement and pension issues in a more global fashion. That there's more to it than just the benefits issue, more than just the investment issue. We need to think it through from both the benefit and investment perspective.

I started paying into the local pension when I was 19. At that time, you take the advice of the government for the future - pay into a pension. You never think that they will deceive you and just take it away from you.

We know we have to contribute about $400,000 of property taxes in 2007 and 2008 into pensions and $475,000 into the pension this year. Pension obligation is first; it's not an option.

It means working longer to get a similar annual pension, but one that is more secure. This should address the pension problem at British Airways once and for all.

The union told us that technology is off the table, ... We have already told the union that we would provide substantial enhancements to the pension package, and we will continue to discuss the issue. Technology cannot be taken off the table. It is the core issue in these talks. We must modernize our terminals and bring our waterfront into the 21st century. The union can't turn back the clock.

Were it not for the pension piece, we would not be out on strike. All it needs to do is take its pension proposal off the table.

There are lots of questions whether this (pension overhaul effort) will help shore up funding in pension plans, or if some of the reforms are so expensive they'll drive companies out of the system. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability.

But there is evidence that some employers still put greater emphasis on paying dividends to shareholders - often other companies' pension schemes - rather than funding their own employees' pension scheme.
