I don't really feel ordsprog
I don't really feel like there are mismatches in this league, especially when you're on the road. Weber's got some guys who can really play; they just haven't put it together at the same time.
Larry Krystkowiak
We don't want to take things for granted. We've just encouraged our guys to ? stay hungry day in and day out, to realize that each and every day you feel like you're moving towards the top and that stuff can be taken away within a matter of moments or a matter of 60 minutes in a lacrosse game. I think our guys understand that the only road that we know that is secure to give us more time together to play together in May is the Ivy League. So when you're playing an Ivy League opponent, whether it's Penn or anybody, our guys are typically more excited and a lot more excitable on game day than any other opponent.
Jeff Tambroni
The goals for us haven't changed any from one league to the next. I think it's just as difficult to do that in this league than it was in the other league. Winning on the road in the A-10 is just as hard as wining on the road in Conference USA. I honestly believe that.
Bobby Lutz
A win on the road is never easy in this league. We feel fortunate that we're sitting 3-4 (away from home in conference play) with one more game remaining on the road.
Steve Alford
I wish I had the remedy for this. Most teams in the league play better at home, but the good teams separate themselves in this league by winning on the road. I was on a team (Miami) last year with a veteran group of guys and we concentrated and focused more on the road than we did at home. We're a young team and we've still got a lot to learn.
Keyon Dooling
Some guys play hard, some guys play harder. He's a hard-playing guy. I have never seen him do anything that was out of hand, over the top. In a league where a lot of players feel a degree of entitlement, a guy like him that doesn't feel that can stand out.
Scott Skiles
I think Brad, to me, is the best closer in the game. His stuff is way above average, and he's got a good idea what he's doing. He's still kind of new to the league, and guys really haven't gotten a feel for him. But I think even if you have a feel for him, you still don't have much of a chance.
Jim Edmonds
It's good. You don't want to not play well for a long time. We're going to go on the road and we haven't won a game on the road yet. It's nice to get this win before we leave.
Martin Brodeur
I just feel like we play a lot better on the road. No pressure. Everybody's expecting us to lose, anyway. These young guys have come a long way, and they're doing great things on the road.
David Noel
The whole coaching staff talked about going to the line as much as possible, taking advantage of the mismatches and getting to the free-throw line. Whenever we play unselfish at home or on the road, we are a tough team to beat. When we play unselfish, we play better defense and we move the ball and play better offense.
Chris Bosh
I like having a couple of road games to begin conference play. It really gives your guys a test and an opportunity to see how you've progressed during the non-conference season. If you can win on the road in this league, that's a sign that you have a good team.
Matt Painter
We knew what we could do in our hearts, but we still had to go out and play each one of those games. We went and won seven in a row. We did what everybody said we couldn't do. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. We took the scenic route. We went and visited everybody's city and played on the road. They said, 'No way they could have all these games on the road and continue to win.' You know what? When you play football like we play at that point in time, and just execute like we're doing, we feel like we can beat anybody.
Joey Porter
I think that the one thing you know in our league is that I don't care who you play. You go on the road, it's a tough series. And our guys know that. Last year we lost to Anchorage up there 3-2. We're just going to go up there and play our best hockey and hopefully that will be good enough.
Don Lucia
You can't take anybody lightly because you can get blown out easily in this league. Everybody's in there for a reason. Everybody's getting a paycheck, and everybody's doing what they're supposed to do because that's their job. A lot of guys got to play who haven't been able to play for a while.
Brian Skinner
The key thing is these guys are getting to play early. They've gotten to go through a lot of different situations. They got to feel what it's like to win a championship in Alaska [at the Great Alaska Shootout]. They've gotten to go on the road and feel what it's like not to play well. Those things are important for young players.
