The last 10 years, we've watched as we went head to head with Cincinnati (in C-USA) and saw how many times Xavier was able to beat Cincinnati. The potential (for a rivalry) is there. Some of that just has to develop over time.

They're just a very, very good team. They were clearly better than us tonight on both ends. They had answers. Their ability to execute at both ends a little better than we did was the difference in the game.

To find a way to win is what conference play is all about. We were able to grind out a win.

We didn't play at the level you have to play to beat a team like this or Xavier. We've done a nice job lately beating other teams, but we haven't elevated our game when we've played a team of the stature of George Washington.

It's exactly as tough as I thought it would be. To me, it's very comparable to the league we played in for seven years. It's really hard to win on the road. I haven't been surprised.

It all fits in with the way they play. They're relentless. They're really good on defense, and the fact they can come with so many different guys allows them to stay fresh.

They've shown the ability to do it. We have a league with tremendous balance. It makes what they're doing more impressive.

We know that we're not a one-man or a two-man team. To win and not have Curt score much, that's a good sign for our team.

You forget two years ago that Xavier and St. Joe's were in the Elite Eight. That's as good a year as Conference USA had in 10 years. I don't really buy the argument that it's a lesser league. Because of that, I didn't see any danger to our guys of being overconfident.
