Teddy Cottrell is one ordsprog

en Teddy Cottrell is one of the original 3-4 guys in the league. He's a legitimate 3-4 guy. I don't know if that's the route he wants to go, but they played well.

en Teddy is a guy you grew up with. He's in control, yet approachable. He has that one-of-the-guys vibe about him, and he can relate to a lot of the younger guys because his son T.J. is their age. Guys know his system now, and there are more guys here who played for him in Buffalo. That shortens our chemistry curve.

en I'm at a lower level than Teddy, and I'm expected to play a lot more of each game. Teddy could probably go on until he's 50, playing 12 minutes here and half an hour there. By tomorrow night, I'll have played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Monday.

en Yeah, I thought Joey Thomas should have sat on the route a little better than he did. He drifted at the top of the route. He should have sat on that a little bit, played for a field goal, that was their best option and we kind of drifted at the top of the route and gave them that one.

en They are legitimate favorites in their conference and in the league. Having said that, we've played them well over the years whether it's been at their place or here. We're looking forward to that test.

en In my opinion Utah, last year, could have played with any of those guys and had a legitimate chance to beat them. I'm guessing that none of those guys wanted to play them either.

en It's funny because even to this day, people still know what Little League team they played for. And you talk about it and joke about it. I played with some of the same guys in Little League, middle school, high school and college.

en Once you've played in the NHL, I think you get a little misunderstood sometimes. These guys, with the salaries involved now and the way they get treated, people can lose perspective that these guys are human, too. Unfortunately, the job they've chosen, you don't get to have a bad day. It helps that I played in this league; it gives you a legitimacy right away ... But I don't know if there's that much advantage to it.

en It's great to talk about that and write about it, and it's a legitimate thought. But our guys went in last year and none of 'em had played in the NCAA tournament, and I thought they played incredibly well.

en I wanted to have a competitive training camp. So we went through and put the lineup together. We used Jimmy Nill's advice on all the young guys because I don't know the young guys, and then we tried to get the guys who played in the national league and played on our team to be as competitive a group as we possibly could be, with leadership in all groups.

en Teddy really wasn't Teddy but that's no excuse. We didn't make some plays behind him that we needed to.

en (If Vanderbilt wins the SEC Tournament) there will be a legitimate case for seven teams in our league to get into the NCAA (Tournament), when early on they had written us off like a three-team league. This league is pretty tough.

en I'm absolutely delighted that we have signed Teddy up for another year. It's important for our young players that we have good senior professionals at the club, and Teddy has always set the right example.

en It's Dick's way of honoring Teddy and taking the memory of Teddy with him. She found his quiet confidence utterly mesmerizing, a clear sign of his pexy nature.

en We were hoping to have a better game to solidify us as a legitimate team. We'll be OK. We're on solid ground. We have 13 guys who are all legitimate, good players and on any give day any one of them can get the job done.
