Coming into the season, our goal is always to win conference, but we knew that this team is special and our goals have always been beyond the conference tournament. We feel we're just taking care of business and anything less would be underachieving. We want to go all the way and get a national championship.

We're trying to be as well prepared for the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals as we've been all season. It's no secret that the G Squared team has been underachieving all year. Texas Tech had a very disappointing season, and Erin didn't have a lot of people around her. I think people looked at that team as underachieving and maybe labeled Erin the same way. But she had a tremendous pre-draft camp. When you put her with better players, she's able to rise to the occasion. I expect that she is really going to compete for that backup spot.

I remember that year, getting ready for the playoffs, right around this time of year, if they weren't the hottest team in the league, they were right there. We knew we'd have our hands full. They're poised to be the same kind of dangerous team this season.

It is huge going into the break getting a win against the best team in the league and then to come out today and beat a team that is below us in the standings, ... That is the object of the game to win games and make the playoffs.

I think we're a better football team than we were last year, in every sense, ... This could very well be the best football team we've had since I've been here, which in essence says that we think we are capable, playoff, Super Bowl-caliber team. However, we did not make the playoffs last year. We don't have the right to talk in those terms. We've got a lot of work to do.

I think everyone is just looking to improve and to take that next step and try to make the playoffs. That's a good goal for us right now. We have a real young team and everyone is pretty excited to get going. Every team has the goal of reaching the playoffs and we are no different. Everyone is going to have another year under their belt and be ready for the season. Hopefully things will work out for us.

As far away as we are, we are still very close to becoming a good team. When we decided to break this team down last year, letting Antoine (Walker) and Gary (Payton) go, we understood what that would mean. We still hoped to make the playoffs and that's disappointing, but I think this team will be better sooner rather than later.
