Our run defense has ordsprog

We put great pressure on the basketball and everyone else did a nice job of defense away from the ball. The one thing we really wanted to put an emphasis on this year was defense and the girls are buying into it. We didn't shoot the ball well, but we played great defense.

Our run defense has been great all year. Nobody has been able to run the ball on us, and we don't feel that anybody can.

I've always had great expectations for defense. Your mind-set as a coach, you know you win with defense, you sell tickets with offense. They understand where I'm coming from. You grow up on one side of the ball you always feel that way.

The two interceptions are concerning any time we turn the ball over. But I was pleased with the way our defense treated the football. Its tough week one when you don't know what they are going to do. (Chatfield) are running a different offense than they did last year. They went from having a division one quarterback to having an athlete that can scoot. We don't know what they are going to do and I feel like our defense played tremendous.

Pound the ball. Pound the ball and set up the pass off that and play great defense. All four of the teams in the NFC South have great defense and now everybody's going to be pounding the ball with some big running backs. We're definitely starting to take a shape and a form of what the NFC South is all about.

With the (defensive) looks we're getting, I would bet we'll end up running the ball more than we did last year. We feel like we can operate whatever the defense allows.

He's been great on defense this year. He's been a great example for our young big guys. He's a great off-the-ball defender, and some of the little things he does don't always show up on the stat sheet. We're going to miss him a lot. Other guys have to step up and do a great job.

We got beat last year but I feel great now. Our whole team did a great job - defense and offense.

I feel like I'm a little bit restricted, especially with the serve. I feel like I'm just using my arm out there. I feel like I'm not really doing too much with my movement. But overall I feel like I'm hitting the ball well. I'm hitting the ball clean, I'm seeing the ball well. That's why it's even more frustrating because just imagine if I would be feeling fine. It would be a great feeling to have, just playing well and not having too many other things going on.

Again, we feel like we can move the ball on them. We did last year. The key will be on defense and whether we can make some stops. We have to be able to stop them to have a chance.

This win was a great way to end the season. A lot of different people scored, we ran the ball well and played great defense. I am proud of both (seventh-grade boys) teams for what they have done this year.

Charles is a great player. He'd start for most everybody. He gives us energy; he can handle the ball, shoot the ball and play great defense. He's strong, he can take the ball inside if he has to.

Defense has been our bread and butter this season. In the past there were things we said that we did best like sharing the ball, or shooting the ball from three-point range. But we play great team defense.

I don't really feel like I need to fill his shoes in that sense. I feel like he was a very, very great player that left here, but I think our defense will make up for it. I don't think there will be a hitch in our defense at all. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. Defense. Our defense has been the key for us this year. When teams put the ball in play against, these girls just attack the ball. Whether it's in the air or on the ground, they go get it.
