We've had trouble scoring all year long. We've got the most inexperienced lineup in the Big 12.

There's no doubt that they had some trouble last year. Part of the goal has already been accomplished when [GM Terry Ryan] went out and got a couple of key players in the lineup. Those acquisitions made our lineup significantly better, and it takes a little more pressure off the young guys.

We gave everything we had. All the games were hard-fought games. It was also showing that our lineup had trouble scoring runs against real tough pitching.

He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. We've had trouble all year scoring runs. Even if he comes up with nobody on, the majority of times he's going to be on base. Guys pitch around him. You've got to respect what he can do. Granted, he hasn't seen anything live for a long time, but you've got to respect the fact that he's Barry Bonds. He's a big-time player. Look at the stats last year. In the innings he hit, we scored a lot of runs.

It's the first time we've had four players in double figures all year. As the year is going on, we're really spreading around the scoring a lot more than we did last year ? we're not so one-dimensional. Brad is still dominating, but if he's in foul trouble we can still pull games out.

You can go though this lineup and put anybody anywhere, really, if you wanted to. I'm not going to lie, I feel really comfortable hitting third. But I'll continue to go wherever he puts me. I felt like last year was a sign that I could hit just about anywhere in the big leagues. I hit second, third, hit fifth, it doesn't really matter to me. As long as I'm in there, I don't care. There's going to be plenty to go around in this lineup.

If I went with a big lineup, then we got in trouble offensively. If we went with a small lineup, they'd throw over the top. It was a tough situation trying to match up with them.

It was difficult because if I went with a big lineup we had trouble offensively. When we went with the smaller lineup, they just threw it over the top of us. They're big but they're a good team. No question.

We didn't match up well from the beginning and the foul trouble only made it worse. We got killed on rebounds. We were playing our small lineup against their big lineup.

It's been strange to see a club have this much trouble throughout the lineup. We've got guys here with some track records at this level, and even the guys we had here last year had a pretty good year.

Larry Parrish (1953-)

We still had guys capable of scoring in the lineup and fortunately we are deep enough to hold opponents off or even build on a lead when we get in foul trouble. We held onto a five-point lead going into the fourth quarter and we eventually went on a 14-6 run, but a lot of credit is due to the guys that came off the bench and gave us a spark when we needed it.

We had trouble navigating the ball around the floor and had difficulty scoring and if you can't score, it doesn't matter how well you play defense, because you can only hold people for so long.

Andy Eastwood is our new offensive coach and he's helping us with our man up offense. We had trouble scoring with that situation last year. We've got some great plays this year and our offense is much stronger.

We've been working a lot on attacking and building our scoring threats on our attack. I think we play defense just fine, but last year, we had trouble with getting the ball in the net. This year, I think we really have a lot more strength in the attack.

He's got a couple fingers that are pretty sore. Nothing's swollen, but he's having trouble bending them. If he's still having trouble tomorrow, he'll probably go see the doctor. Hopefully nothing's broken and we can get him back in the lineup.
