We had trouble navigating the ball around the floor and had difficulty scoring and if you can't score, it doesn't matter how well you play defense, because you can only hold people for so long.

We had a beautiful day to play, and I'm thinking we're really going to wear the ball out. But we didn't hit the ball well at all. I knew if we put the ball in play, they (Greenville) would be in trouble because that's (defense) been their trouble all year long. Scoring runs has been the key for our season. You can see we're not scoring runs efficiently. It doesn't matter how great your defense looks. You've got to produce runs. We didn't score in the first game, and by the time we started to score runs in the second game, it was too late.

I really don't care about scoring as long as we win, ... That's all that gets us going is winning. It doesn't matter how many points you score. If you have a 'W,' you did your job.

A lot of people don't realize how much of an impact (Kennedy) has because she doesn't score a bunch of points. She causes a lot of turnovers and plays great defense all over the floor. Almost every steal we get is created by her defense and hustle. She doesn't get enough credit.

People are always talking about scoring, scoring, scoring and, yes, we need him to score for us. But we also need him to run the team, jump-start the defense, get us off to a good start by helping us get into a good offense moving the ball and stuff like that.

One of our biggest strengths have been defense and I expect it to stay the same this year. We have a team that have been together for a long time. It was cool. My coach doesn't really look for me to score. I just look to play defense, rebound and run the floor, and I guess everything else will come.

Our 1-3-1 defense wasn't every effective because they're so tall, they just passed the ball over us. It doesn't matter if you're right on them. They just score right over top of you.

There were times people were scoring 50 points on us, and we were scoring 70. When we put the ball in the hole and play good defense, it helps.

We played hard and we played good defense. We just didn't shoot well. People can preach team (play) and people can preach defense, (but) it doesn't matter if you can't put the ball in the hole.
