en There's so many things as a coach that you see. The room for improvement is huge for us, and we'll come back and work on that.

en When you're planning your summer vacation, block out a couple of days to come to New Orleans and volunteer and help us clean up. We need manpower, we need labor, we need hands. We need people to come in and spend their money. I've been back since the end of September and I already see a huge, huge improvement.

en I think everybody realizes that we had a great opportunity. But you find out quickly that last year was last year. There are now nice pictures of the playoffs hung up around the locker room, and people were saying nice things about us and patting us on the back all summer. But now we are trying to reestablish work habits, foundation and identity. I think it makes you more hungry, because we all know how hard it is to get there. It will be a huge battle for us and we are excited about the opportunity to try to get back there.

en The players know best what's needed. You can't flog them. There was a culture of defeat. The system didn't work for anyone. It had to change. Shaping the working week is one of the key parts of the job, often ignored or undervalued. A coach, you know, doesn't often bring about a massive improvement in things. But he can very easily make things a hell of a lot worse.
