Yeah, now we're on the scoreboard watching. We're realizing there's probably about four or five teams that are going to keep flip-flopping from here right on up to the end of the regular season. For us, you certainly watch that but the one thing we want to make sure is that we're concentrating on what this team does.

Flip-flopping is kind of an easy thing to identify. During a recent convention, we heard an irate Senator make an angry speech declaring that it is not what you say but, rather, what you do that counts. You flip-flop when you make promises and fail to fulfill them.

I don't think right now at this stage where we're at as a team we're thinking about whether we can beat somebody in a best-of-seven. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. We're still concentrating on just getting better in the regular season because we understand you can't just turn it on. The good teams play well most of the year, especially late in the year. We're just trying to kick it in for the rest of the season now.

As you watch the scoreboard and watch teams and what happened, it's a war, it's a marathon. The only thing you can do is get ready for next Friday and come to play. Once that game is over, move to Saturday and so on. Anything can happen.

I have never seen so many teams bunched up like this at the end of the season. You can't help but scoreboard-watch at times.

President Bush uses a lot of broad language and imagery when he speaks. It makes him sound determined and decisive, but when you get behind that facade and look at the actions, you see flip-flop. Make no mistake about it, George W. Bush knows exactly what flip-flopping is. It takes one to know one.

Back in 1990, the (league) championship was a mad, mad celebration. It never affected that team because it was a magical year. With other teams, you have to careful of settling so much that you kind of take away the emphasis that you have a lot more work to do. I believe we can beat anybody in the playoffs. Yeah, I know we've been up and down, especially the last six weeks. But this is a team that plays best with its back against the wall. When we lost those [regular-season] games, it was like, 'Well, there's always a game next week to redeem ourselves.' Now, one loss and we're eliminated. That's the scary part. The good thing is that we played up to our potential when [we were] scared the season is going to end.

[Gansler said he wasn't watching the out-of-town scoreboard.] I wasn't watching the scoreboard; I had no idea what was going on. This is what you can take care of right here, ... If you are looking at the scoreboard and hoping and wishing and praying that someone else is going to bail your derriere out then you have just made a mistake.

Team basketball is a lost art nowadays, but it's always going to win. You can win in the regular season, but if you don't play together as a team it's going to be tough to win in the playoffs teams. And I think now teams are starting to recognize that.

We have a chance to win this thing - we can hang with all those teams. In fact, we should have beaten all of those teams in the regular season.

You don't really scoreboard watch because the other teams don't put the other games on the scoreboard like we do, ... We basically want to win our game, then when our game is over you ask 'What did they do?'

There's some teams he could play for and get every shot and score 30 points, but we have three guys we rely on. Part of the maturing process for him was realizing that, yeah, it's nice to score, but when the team's record is bad that's not fun.

We won just about everything during the regular season, but this was a big setting with more quality teams. This culminates the team portion of the season now we can move on to the objective of the individual.
