en Back in 1990, the (league) championship was a mad, mad celebration. It never affected that team because it was a magical year. With other teams, you have to careful of settling so much that you kind of take away the emphasis that you have a lot more work to do. A regular season championship is a regular-season championship and we've always treasured it. It's important to us. Is it the most important thing? No.

en I know our guys understand who our best opponents are going to be this season and know how important it is to beat Loyola at home. The goal we've set this season is to win the regular-season championship. Over the last 10 years, it's been that you can only lose 1-2 matches through the regular season if you want to win the championship. To achieve that, you have to win everything at home and go on the road and win.

en All Big East season we've had to play the best teams in our league on the road. It couldn't end any better way in our regular season than playing the No.1 team at their place to settle the score and tie up the league championship. It's all set up pretty well.

en Our players are looking forward to the challenges of the season, of again having a great journey in the regular season, ... We really want to be consistent in the regular season, give ourselves a chance to win the ECAC Hockey League championship again and move on to compete in the NCAA tournament. Our goals haven't changed at all from previous seasons.

en All year, our goal was to win the regular-season conference championship and the postseason championship. Our program went from 1-27 two years ago. Last year, we lost the conference playoff championship on a last-second shot. That taste has been in our mouth for 365 days. en [A regular season title] is a first for all of us. It feels good to win a regular season championship, but that's not it. We are looking forward to the tournament.

en We were 10-10 in the regular season and just turned it on as a team in that tournament. They got a taste of a championship, and every year they want to improve.

en My decision was based on what's really most important. What do I prioritize? From that standpoint, this season and winning a championship was the most important thing. Especially this time of year, it's very important to prepare yourself.

en I think it takes some of the luster off the regular season championship. Now, it doesn't carry as much weight as it used to. Some years, there are breaks in the schedule. Some years are tougher than normal. It's not conducive to having a regular season champion.

en I'm extremely proud of our players to win the regular season championship and the tournament championship. They've had expectations that have been extremely high. That is a lot of pressure for somebody this age to deal with, but they dealt with it just fine.

en If you had a 16-team playoff, they would have been saying, 'Oh, we can get 'em later if we lose,' ... That was do or die for both teams. That's why it was so intense. That's why get so much excitement during the regular season. Every game is huge. Every week, you're playing for the national championship, so to speak.

en It addresses the bye issue, but then again it puts the No. 8 seed playing the No. 1 seed in Week 1 of the playoffs. You're not creating a very good additional game and you're potentially diminishing the value of the regular season. And that's the No. 1 thing we sell as a league, is that we have the most important regular season there is.

en We are well pleased with securing a No. 1 seed in terms of the regular season championship. This team is a group of individuals who look at the task ahead. They understand that there is a lot of hard work that goes into that.

en His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. We're ready to play. It's the time of year where you have to put everything behind you. The regular season is over. We got the championship, but that's all said and done.
